Why do you whine and try to fight when we're gonna have to rebuild the community anyway? If you're going to stay, you might as well help to restore positivity in this place. Otherwise, what's the point in complaining or making enemies?

Dear Cry-Xar_Baby-fax,
iīm pretty sure you have never been in a real library before, coz if so, u would respect the different tastes of all visitors there. You only like the strategy part and sometimes the trivia coz u could combine them. But the third part (fiction) is not your style. Fine...u r not forced to like nor to read it (as mentioned zillion times before). The problem is, you declare the library as "ownership" of the long time vets and their strategies. So if someone posts other stuff than the one you like, you say itīs boring (zzzzzzzzzzz).But that is wrong! Itīs just boring for you...many other members find it very boring to calculate every hitpoint and movement point in a game. Fine...they donīt have to...they can stay by their tastes....like u can do as well...
The fiction part has nearly endless possibilities, you can write and write whatever u like...thatīs fiction. The strategy part is exhausted some day, especially when a game is 5 or more years old.
Iīm not that experienced in playing chess, but do they publicize about 15 new chess-strategy books every year? With strategies no1 heard before? I donīt know, but i really doubt that.
So itīs sad to recognize for some, but the strategy part of the game is (nearly) revealed. And how many of the long time veterans (who still post here in the library) are playing that game on the zone? Most of them wait for H5 to release and find their way back to the addiction of that game. And when H5 will be out, the library will turn itīs face completely again, coz there will be so much new stuff to explore (tactics, infos, bugs, etc....), so not much people will write fictions about it, but play it and learn it...and many new players will come here.
I am still a H3 lover...and as i stated before, there is always something u will learn about that game u never heard before, even after that long time. But this is not enough for a complete forum...there have to be other topics to keep it alive.
Hard to accept for some, but u canīt turn back the time...u have to go with it...and make the best out of it.

Why dont you go through his and my posts? I am sure you will find enough "phuke"s, "snowe"s, "phuking"s, "bastard"s, "arsewhole"s and god knows what else to ban both of us for good. Hell, you can even ban more than half of the HC that way.

If you examine hamsi's posts, you will see how masterfully he writes in English. Plus, the initiative message (mine) ended in Turkish. These are the reasons why I believe he wrote in Turkish.

Exactly here lies your problem. Itīs not important if those strategies are new to me. Itīs important if they are new or good for the majority of the members here. And yes, some of your strategies (not even the half, but some..) were completely new for me and i liked them. And i posted that as well.
But now comes the problem. There is a member (guitarguy) who (i exaggerate a bit now) wanted to take part on the big round table of the strategy specialists and post some "good" advices to a new member. About 80% of his advices have been wrong/bad (referring to online-playing) and this has been recognized from nearly all the strategy specialists (i responded also...). I guess he never got that much responses on HC before like he got after his post. I guess he saw an avalanche coming down from the strategy sky and buried him alive to prevent him from giving advices anymore.
All he wanted to do his help a new member at the best he could, and he got "annihilated" from all the vets.
He surely will never post again in the stragey section of the library anymore, coz he learned his session.
The question is....is that how we want it to be?
A library forum, where only the strategy kings, the tough guys stay and talk to each other without any other guy could enter? Doubt that....
And please Xarfax, forget your idea about the backrubbers. Iīm here for more than 2 years now, and i think it is clear for most of the members here, iīm straight and honest (still sounds gay to say it like this..), and i hate it if somebody "sucks up to somebody else" (i got that phrase from a dictionary, hope it says what i want to express....)
Nobody got more quality points from me than you. And in my opinion, they were all earned well. If u think different, ok...canīt help. But so far, i didnīt get any complain about a single +qp i applied for anybody. Even you didnīt mention one specific reward u disagree with.
Itīs more the other way around, i think there should be more +qp given, but i rarely find suggestions for that in the feedback.
And perhaps u should think over the term "whiner" a bit. Not everyone who gets attacked and complains afterwards is a whiner. Perhaps he is just in the right...

Bah mad ... fist of all it is real childish IMO to post something a language that others can;t read.
Forum language is english and english only .. and that is for a reason.
I went through the trouble of having it translated because hamsi was earlier directing his anger towards me. Picture yourelf in my shoes and then tell me that u wouldn;t wat to see what he has written there?
If something went lost in teh translation .. so be it.
Do note however that Hamsi altered his msg later. What exactly I can;t say ., since I can;lt understand any turkish.
So in all fairness I think the penalty s justified.
And NO I am not like "others" that will suddenly after years of "online friendship" change there views on somebody because of one incident. ESPECIALLY an incident of which they have only heard OnE SiDe.

I agree with you there that we were that infact.
so if we agree on that: THEN HOW COME NONE OF YOU HAD THE DECENCY TO ASK ME IF I HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS WHOLE MATTER.
Nooooo... u just believe what one person (ss in this case) tells you. I think you are then in fact making a joke of your own words.

My last post outside of ToH board
To the Andi's, Stiven's, Hexa's, Romana's, and many others I haven't listed.
I understand that you have had ongoing problems between one another. In certain cases (Andi, Xar), I have been involved in those confrontations.
I feel that I can, for example, be friends with Hexa and Romana without having to justify that relationship with, say, Stiven.
I'm not going to allow myself to be coddled into who I chose to have a friendly relationship with. I like Andi. I like Stiven. I also like Romana and Hexa. I like PH and sometimes I can even see myself liking PaceMaker.
If people don't like me simply because of who I choose to like then I don't need that kind of 'friend' anyway.
I am leaving HC. Not entirely, however. I will continue to post in ToH as my duties as a volunteer dictate.
I want to say that there are a great many of you people that I will miss dearly. Most of you know who you are. One who might not, however, is The_Gootch. Rock on, my brother! Your posts and insight have long been a source of enjoyment for me.
Val may have solid reasons for what he did. He may have long and elaborate posts for doing what he did. What he doesn't have is justification for taking a longstanding member of this community who had attained 'Honorable Status' and throwing him to the curb without even making prior mention of his intentions or asking for general input from the HC. To me, that is inexcusable. It borders on tyranny.
Again, Val, here is a good excuse for you to ban me as well.
I feel that your logic is flawed and that your decisions are more influenced by emotion than by logic. Or, perhaps, you are bowing to the general wishes of the masses rather than at least taking a manly stance and imposing a verdict that you had enough balls to be a party in arriving at. YOU LEFT NO ROOM FOR DEBATE. I can't tell you how disgusted I am with you. You turned you back on a cornerstone of this community because you thought it would further your popularity in the newer generation of members.
I hope this board dies.

For all the "newer" members, who were involved in the whole issue the last time, watch carefully what happened now. The real vets recognized when it probably went too far and decided to stop it before too much bad words were spoken.
Take that as an example and perhaps learn from that for further issues...
