Good Spirits Tavern
The necromancer looked at the old building and frowned at the recently boarded up windows. Numerous chains blocked off the doorways and the building simply looked depressing, even for a necromancer like UndeadRSF. The sign that had once hung over the doorway inviting all visitors with the words, “Tossers Tavern,” was now gone. The memories of good times ran through his skull. And with a sigh the skeleton wandered further down memory lane leaving behind Tossers Tavern.
Soon he came upon a place he had never seen before. A place he thought he had heard about from his old friends on several occasions. Good old Kuma’s Tavern. The tales that happened there. And the sign was still there too. It looked much more inviting than Tossers Tavern. But then again, its foreclosure was on a much more positive note. He heard how it sparked epic fantasies and several of the best threads along this road.
‘Wouldn’t it be nice to revive those old historic buildings, getting them up and running again? Yes, that would wonderful.’ he thought. And suddenly it occurred that his specialty was the animation of the deceased. Surely if it was possible to open up those places again, he could do it. Unfortunately, he knew that those boarded off windows and chained around the doors, made it impossible to do so without leveling the place.
Perhaps he could spawn something new, that still brings up the essences of those two wonderful places. And make it a place where all could bring back the old, immortalizing all the good there had ever been. And the necromancer smiled.
OOC: I’m looking for this thread to be a bit of a combination of Kuma’s Tavern and Tossers Tavern. This forum after all is called Tavern of the Rising Sun. This forum thrived on having those two threads. We need a new thread to breathe life into this forum. I also thought that having a table of contents held within the second post of this thread would be a great idea. This forum has never had an up to date Table of Contents, so I thought it would work if it was stuck into a thread that many people visit as often as they had in Tossers Tavern and Kuma’s Tavern. Hopefully this thread can be a success.

This is the longest RP in Glade history. For the past year and a half it has remained at least semi-active though it's true height was in the Spring of 2004. This thread has inspired several members to become serious writers. Because of it's borderline cultistic nature, only those who have read the thread or RPed in the thread can apprieciate its quality and what it has done for the forum.

It might not be an "old" thread, but I still rather enjoy reading LHW from page 1. I know, I know, I have no life, what else is new?

RSF frowned at 2Xtreme when he asked for a tossquilla.
"I'm sorry, but I never learned how to make a tossquilla, 2Xtreme. Only Hamsi and Sir Stiven know that one. Maybe Aculias knows, but I don't think I could understand him well enough to do it right."
I would love to put up some notes on Tossers Tavern, but because I wasn't around from its beginning, I wouldn't feel right giving it the proper critique. Perhaps there is still one of those old fogies lurking in the shadows.
"Hey, UDfan?" RSF yelled. A raspy voice calls from a room out back.
"Yeah?" UndeadRSF pokes his head out the door.
"Go find one of those guys back in the early days of Tossers Tavern." The skeleton clicks his teeth and grumbles and closes the door. "Groutch," says RSF under his breath and looks back at 2Xtreme.
"I could make you up a margarita. Those are pretty good."

I fear the days of the tossers are coming to an end. When they are gone, who will rule HC? Flamers? No, they just sit in their underground mines, It will be up to the race of the spammers to rule HC. The tossers are leaving middle earth...err...nvm.

Good Sprits eh? Where I come from any spirit is a good spirit, but okay, I'll play along 
Who will rule HC now? Interesting question.. flamers? nahh - funny thing that word is, has different meaning where I come from. If the 'flamers' as I know em rules HC, well we'd be living in high-style in no time - and you cybergeeks would all become their ******* 
Will spammers rule? No, can't happen... spammers are like little bugs - and I wear some mighty big squashing boots.
So what we need then is to create a new HC power to dominate... so lets brainstorm...
Best idea wins!
What do they win? I dunno yet, it's a surprise 
PS: The tossers aren't about to board that boat yet 2extreme... their day has not come yet

I ain't sucking up or anything, but in all truth and honesty, Pan was one hell of a great Tosser from the old days. Hopefully she's one relic that'll stay around for a while yet. Before she get's old, rusty, and sold that is

Alrighty then... old and rusty... relic... I've heard all of em before, I'm no longer phased by such attempts to shake my security
However explain "sold"?!?
Does HC now have some sort of nasty underground mod selling ring that I've never heard of?? Will I be shipped off to some strange desert climate, forced to wear a big sheet with only my eyes showing and clean the spam of foreign lands?
I'm scared 
Then again, if I got to wear a little "I dream of Genie" type number, that might be okay...Its kinda fun to shake it in those outfits in fact I bet in one of those I could do a table dance that would be talked about for ages
So Gorman, you'll have to explain to me this "sold" thingy a little bit further - and I'll let you know then how I feel about that.
