Oh brother what ever.
I didnt know I was demanded to make 24/7 replies.
For your information I have been working 9-12 hrs a day 6 days a week.
My brother is in Portland at work so I have even more responsibilities with the house & the pets.
My brother visited for 3 half days then left again for another month.

So you can kiss my white butt Jake because you expect me to just have all the time in the world.
Maybe if you actually lifted a finger in your life, maybe you would understand how tired I am man.
I dont need your friendship when you force me to keep some screwed list of "JAKES WAY or No way".
Plus i have talked to you but I am done with that.
Go wash the floors because your annoying me now.

I Feel That.....

One message or visit per week is not too much to ask of a friend. We all have jobs and a life we must attend to. I have sat and listened to people use that excuse on Heroes Community for years. I work too and I make it a priority to come here and go there to communicate with people who I would either like to make friends with or whom have been my friends for years.

Ok Jake, lets understand that people have different ways of conducting their friendships in this life. Can you please share with the rest of the working world exactly how old your children are and what your schedule consist of?

The way that I look at it is you have way too much time on your hands. I think that you have two children and one is in school, is this correct? I worked, went to school full time and held a family together that consisted of three children. That is a full schedule or as Acu stated working six days a week.

So when some of us do finally get a chance to respond your on the other end of your judging stick getting ready to pounce on anyone that does not have "deep meaningful contact" with you. You need to focus that extra attention onto your family or friends that you have there physically within reach of you.

Continue to delete people from your precious lists and you find that one day you will be blogging about how nobody wuvs you anymore and you are sulking in your own self pity.

Like VF said, different people have different expectations from friends. For me it would feel like suffocation if someone expected contact from me once a week.

My friends are scattered all over the country, but I kind of like to hear from them maybe once or twice a year. And I like to know if they move or change email addresses. It's also not unusual to go 2-3 years without hearing from them.

I dont know it's different with each friend I think.
Some you consider an actual friend or people you just know.
I think each person holds something within you. (trying not to sound WIMPY WIMPY WIMPY but HEFTY HEFTY HEFTY)
If that is what Jake considers a friend then i dont want it.
I get respect from others & I give respect back.
I dont think I ever had anyone say that to me but oh well.
I guess I deserved it.

It seems to me that Myspace is a big popularity contest. It doesn't need to be that way and I'm sure there are a lot of people who aren't like that.

If used right, I think Myspace could be a real good way for friends and family to stay in touch. Like when email first started being used it was really cool. I started emailing a lot of people I had almost completely lost contact with. Myspace can be used the same way, but it seems like it's just a bunch of people trying to act cool.

You are right about family & friends.
My brother has it set up with friends all over & some family.
Friends who moved to other states etc.
It's a good place to talk to your real life friends thats not around or if your saving on your phone time .

Remember Bibanik when we were young we used to call up our friends, now there are cell phones.
I miss the three way lover calls or friends & using the friends family phones to start convos.
Even charging up my dads phone bill to over 300 bucks LOL.

Eh...Okaaay....

No one should feel offended if they get deleted from my friends list. Perhaps people do, I suppose. You really don't know me well enough if you're offended. Let me try and describe myself a little more for people. Maybe that'll help.

My day consists of a schedule on the order of something like this:

I wake up early at about 15 minutes till 5am so that I can get about an hour and a half of gaming in before the children wake up. They get up and I make them breakfast every day. After breakfast is when I read to all three from one of the classics novels. We're currently reading The Pearl by John Steinbeck. After storytime is 'straighten up time' when we work on mildly straightening up their areas such as rooms, bathroom, and personal hygene. Then I usually have a couple hours of semi-update time. That's when I hit the news on T.V. and on the internet. if I have a newspaper handy then I'll thumb through making perfectly sure to NEVER miss reading the comics section! LoLz, I love reading that part of the paper. This is also the time when the children and I have discussions about things that are important to them and what is going to happen for the day, some of which are quite in depth and take up a good deal of time. We also play with the dog and sometimes I try a house project that I've been meaning to get to such as cleaning out the vacuum, sink plumbing, special scrubbing, or garage organizing. Lately I've been working on a kite we've been meaning to fly. I've had to superglue a part of it that kept taking most of the impact when it nose-dived from poor handling. When lunch rolls around I yell out: "TIME FOR LUNCH! WATCHING SOME NEWS!" Lunch is insanely hectic because we often have friends that won't go home or the neighbors want to me watch their children while they run errands. We're talking a minimum of four children, news at top volume, and me in the kitchen screaming out for people to help me straighten up the dinner table. After Lunch we go to the park for a couple of hours. After that we come home, young ones take a nap, and I do kitchen chores (mostly dishes) before I have about an hour for myspace. Then it's time to go talk to the neighbor mothers and show the proper respect. Nothing in this neighborhood gets done without socializing with the world's true leaders: Stay at home Mothers. I don't report to the president, I report directly to my local cadre of 'the hand that rocks the cradle'. I learn something new from them every day. It's not easy being a man and they often make sure I understand that. In fact I was once told that "it" wasn't my fault, it's because I'm a man. Whatever "It" is I am certain that "it" is their fault! People think men ostracize women? That's probably true. I'm here to testify that women do it too. They keep me at arm's length in regards to certain issues and I do the same for them on the very same issues. Anyway where was I? Oh yes my mid to late day. It is mostly consisting of juggling neighborhood children, more house chores, talking with neighbors, and all manner of child altercations involving every child on both the streets I live near. I think I've successfully taken up the title "breaker of fights" at least on an immediate regard. I've done plenty of break-ups between children who thought bullying was the only way to get your point across. Anyone who's read the overweight thread knows how I feel about bullies. Anyway as I was saying, my time is mostly reserved in the mid-day to evening for immediate child access and study reports that i have on the side for my own interests such as blacks in the American revolution and the history of the english language. When my wife comes home we all race to the front door to greet her and are usually trumped by the dog's forceful pushing and wagging. It's really quite amusing if you saw how many injuries we've received during that experience alone. Ha! When she's home we make sure to show her as much love as we can muster. I make it a very important point to the children that their mother is the one who pays for everything we own. She works hard every day and for that we need to love and respect her as any "bread-winner" deserves. The rest of my day is spent talking with her which usually consists of arguments over what's best for the children. I like to think we argue gracefully and with respect but who would honestly believe that? I am respectful but we do get out of control more than we should. We yell a lot. I think it's because we care so much about the children. One argument recently was over a hawaiin dance class my daughter is taking. I think the teacher is a scatterbrain and disorganized while my wife defends the teacher with complete unexpected zeal. I declare organization should rule the day while she simply defends the teacher's character, the thing I question the least. I am attacking her management style. My wife absolutely refuses to argue politics or religion. You people here might have some idea of why that might be, LoL! Eh...but we also argue about money of course. That's generally my day for a week day. Weekends we do more family stuff and more projects. My wife is also currently training for a mini tri-athlon, the Portland marathon, and does cycling. I usually squeeze my gym time in the morning hours after the kids have been squared away. This week they have church camp thus giving me time for the gym. School offers that time as well.

Myspace is the only way I keep in touch with my sister who lives in Georgia, brother/mother in Utah, brother/father/sister in Texas. I also am using myspace to plan a trip to Vegas next summer with a whole bunch of people. I'm gonna split a hotel casino room with a buddy I went to high school with who also lives in Texas. And another good buddy of mine from the airforce uses myspace as well and he will be coming to vegas too I think. He lives in Wisconsin. The other people on myspace on my friends list is largely to meet and talk with whom I have found to be intriguing. There's really so much content that I can't process it all so I generally try and keep my list number low below 20. Right now I'm talking to a lady who loves fraggles and Ron Paul. I also am talking with an old friend whom I met working at a gas station in vegas back not long after my son was born. That's an interesting story too. I've written a lot about when I met her. Anyone can read it. My page is always open to the public.

The point is that I'm into so many different stories, events, and things taking place in my real life that I often lose track of things.

Good Point

I would never do that to a real life person unless some unholy act of betrayal had beset my waking hours.

To add: I also met a lady who has pictures of Bill Clinton in some presidential pose with the words: "Pimpin Ain't Easy" at the top. She's a Weird Al fan and works in an immigration office. She also likes Rosanne Barr. The thing that attracted me to her page was a photo of Britney Spears' head superimposed over Captain Picard's from Star Trek. (after she shaved her head)

I might get negative comments about this, but nonetheless, I am going to post it.

Why does it really matter if someone deletes you from myspace?

Seriously, is it the end of the world?

Will you die from them deleting you?

No.

Truth is, the site is just a place to talk to friends around the world, or near to you, share your pictures, put music on the website, and all that other stuff.

It is sorta like having your own website, but not quite, if you know what I mean.

Now, this thing with Consis, who really cares.

Give the guy a break, because if he has expectations of communicating at least once a week, then so be it, no need to all bash him for it.

I am the same too, I would not have someone as a friend on my myspace, if they do not comment me for a while.

I mean, I might have lot's of people that I do not really know, but my close friends, maybe some from HC, I would expect them to at least send me a comment every week or so, maybe even every day or so.

I wouldn't mind if I became your friend Consis (on myspace, and hopefully on internet), because you seem like a really cool guy, but if you were to delete me, then so what, it isn't the end of the world.

Some people need to just chill out, and need get so worked up about getting deleted from someones myspace.

Seriously, just think to yourself for a minute, and just reflect back upon exactly what you are doing, and you will see that it is pointless.

That being said, if anyone wants to add me to my myspace, then feel free to add me as a friend, and hopefully we can talk sometime.
