Played from HOMMII and up, touched on HOMMI as well.
I have applied, but I'm not sure if it got through, as I got no sort of confirmation that my application had been sent or received.
ETA:

Do I need to give you the e-mail that I'm registered with at UBI, or can I give you my "normal" one?

Among the chaos that this forum is turning into I have to bring forth the news that the beta test will be starting a few days later than planned. We hope to launch it early next week.
We are still hunting major bugs, so that you only have to hunt smaller ones

i have a sneaking suspicion that the people who logged in to watch Fabrice talk about the beta test a few weeks ago, got fast tracked to the Beta. I was there for that particular discussion along with several hundred others, and lo and behold got into the beta, as did some others I saw that day.

Well, not to put a negative spin on things... ok well nvm, because I guess this falls squarely into the category of negative.
I don't want to be a part of the beta... First because it leaves me less impressed when I see the game in its actual release, when you play a beta and its over... You have to wait some more AHHH!!! Having intimate knowledge of a game before you can play it is incredibly frustrating!
When you interact with something, in this case a game you develope feelings/attitudes/opinions w/e of that thing.
When you play a beta, you expect the release, you expect it to be good.
To sum it up, Action leads to expectation, expectation leads to dissapointment.
And who wants to be dissappointed?
I am whole heartedly waiting for the final release to be "WOW'ED" as heroes III did for me so long ago...
Cheers to all you beta testers... The only info I want from you is a smile and a nodd up and down, or back and forth.
Cheers to all the heroes players I will face in the future!

There is a beta test forum in Ubisoft. If you recieved the email and were selected to beta testers, you should have been invited there.

I gues we wont be getting info from the beta test since it is secured information. I wish I could beta test, I would atleast help find bugs before the release so there wouldnt be such a large patch like from homm4.
If I only had the life I had when in chicago, but then again the cost of living is 50% less here
