Mana Regeneration

Quote:
Mana regenerates at the end of each turn. This is for ease of play, and essentially makes Mana costs irrelevent since battles rarely last long enough to allow anyone to run out. If you wish, and all players agree, you may keep track of how much mana a hero expends, and allow Mana to regenerate only when a Hero starts his turn in a town that teaches spells.

It seems like the the way to go since you'll have to keep track of mana spent before and after a Mana Flare.

Quote:
If you choose to do this, one player should keep a sheet of paper to keep track of the Mana stats for all heroes in the game. Any player can look at the sheet at any time. While this is more true to the computer game, it does require pen-and-paper accounting, which is what we were trying to avoid in this rules system.

Yeah, but then again M:tG had to do this with life, so it doesn't seem that big of a deal. Plus, they now sell all kinds of life counters for Magic that can become Mana counters. I bought two of the Dark Platypus ones and I think I'll use one side as a lvl counter (since a lot of spell use it) and the other side for Mana. I'll have to use a few tokens or a die to to keep track up to 100 mana. http://www.dark-platypus.com/lifecounters.htm

I like this way of managing mana as well.  I personally will use 2 D10s to track mana.  I don't think spell casters should have *semi-unlimited* mana.

That seems simple enough, just put the two D10s on top of or near your hero stack.

I just get worried about bumping the dice or if someone picks up your mana die to make an attack.
