Quotes&Phrases&Sayings

OK people. Do you guys love Quotes&Phrases&Sayings?
Do you have some phrases that you use all the time and friends are reminding you about that?
Do you think some of the quotes that are famous reflect your way of thinking and how do you see live in overall?
I have seen some of you have this kinda thing in their signature so I want to ask you what are your favorite Quotes&Phrases&Sayings and why?
I'll give some but will comment others and will add some more later. Don't just add something that you know but what gives you feeling that is really true or is really cool. I believe almost all of us have some. And also if you happen to have some of your own, bring them on.
And if you know who is behind the quote please say...

Here is some of mine. I don't really use them often but I certainly like these:

See the Truth,
Feel the Truth,
Deal with the Truth.
by Unknown
-------------------
This is very personal for me and I'm not sure where I saw it. It's very probably some persons homepage. It's about how you have to see reality and how to handle it. It isn't only the thought but the feeling everything coming together. And the hardest part, accepting what is real.

I will permit no man to narrow and degrade my soul by making me hate him.
by Booker T. Washington
-------------------
Don't ask me who is that person but this is very much true with me. I don't really hate people. I try to understand them whatever they have done. However you need sometimes aggression to be able to direct your energy to right target and if you can use hate as match to light up the fire of aggression as long as you can handle it.

Catch the vigorous horse of your mind.
Zen Saying
---------------------
I love this one. That is being control of oneself.

Give me yours...

My comments...

I picked some I liked...

"Wow! That is alot of Indians."
Gen. G.A. Custer July 4, 1876
-------------------------------
Oldtimer, is this really true that he said that? That is sure really funny...LOL

"Before criticizing someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you'll be a mile away and have their shoes."
- Jack Handy
--------------------------------
I have heard something like this before. This is quite funny and clever one I must say.

"Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is."
-Sir Francis Bacon
--------------------------------
Yes, very true.

"The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter. "
- Sir Winston Churchill
---------------------------------
Sad fact is that this is very true.

Here's one another from me...

Every act of creation is first of all an act of destruction.
by Picasso
---------------------------------
Is this true or not? Everything is chained together and if you create something you destroy something. Nice idea.

Does anyone have something that has meaning to their own lives and want to tell you how they see the quote&phrase and why it is so important to them.

OFFTOPIC: Syllogism your new avatar is really goodlooking. Good pick.

Ah, the Bluebeard...

Love that Chaplin movie...
Scene it at least hundred times.
The poisoning scene is the best.

I would say that "care and caution" isn't enough...for facing the marriage if we think the wedding...then
"Horror and fleeing" is much better one...
