How do you get random templates to work?
Hi everyone!
I'm not sure if this belongs in this forum but how do you get the random templates to work?
I own SoD and AB (don't have the original HoMM 3 CD).
Does the random templates require you to install AB?
Or do you somehow use the map editor to create the maps?
Also, which folder do you put them in?

I tried to install AB on after installing SoD (as opposed to RoE, then AB, then SoD), but doing that only allows AB to run.
And since I lost my RoE CD, I can't install AB first anymore.
So you helped me a lot!
Two more questions
Now that I got the random maps to work, how about the random templates?
Do I just stick it into the data file and turn it into a .rmg file?
My other question is what most people play online
I'm considering joining the online for MP until HoMM 5 comes out.
Do most people play SoD 3.2? or that WoG player-created x-pack?

You save the templates as "rmg.txt" file in your DATA directory. You can only have ONE rmg.txt in this folder at the same time. So when u wanna change your template, u have to move / delete the existing rmg.txt and then copy-paste / rename the next one in your DATA directory.

I guess most people play 4.0 which is Heroes Complete. You can play with 3 different versions on the zone being compatible to each other: 1.4, 3.2, 4.0

I was renaming them "something.rmg" and wondering why they weren't working
Guess I should practice a bit, then give ToH a try soon! 
Raise my ranking before HOMM 5 is released and all
