Deluxe Set
I may have missed it somewhere but can anyone tell me what the difference is between the deluxe set and starter set?

Which is really kind of stupid. I mean who buys this game and doesn't already have Heroes 4?

Actually, up until a month or so ago I only owned Heroes 1,2 and 3. My friend bought a cheap copy of 4 for me and himself after we discovered the CCG game at Origins. So I expect a few Heroes III players might be in the same boat.

I'm a Heroes III player. Saw IV way back when and just didn't like it. Having the option to buy the PC game now that I'm into IV the CC&TG is a good idea.

See, it's really not all that stupid I actually got interested in the computer game after having demoed the card game at GenCon. I tend to play more RPG games-- Final Fantasy series mostly, though I have a few others (plus Dance Dance Revolution but that's a whole other genre) and I'm not quick enough to be very good at WarCraft III. So I demoed the card game, and after trying it, and hearing how similar the computer game was, I decided to give it a try. I'm glad it was offered, myself!

I never played the computer game but decided to order one deluxe starter just to see what it was all about.

Big mistake dude.
See, first it is just one starter, then you'll say "well that's not enough tiles, so harmlessly you'll buy maybe one or two more. Oh yeah, until you find out there are 28 different tiles.
Then you'll need to buy more starters just so you will have ALL of them. You know nothing major.
BUT then you'll see the advantage of a booster or two, you will get all these awesome cards and the need for more begins, it is never enough and after oh about 6 starters and 2 Booster boxes later, you will say "I just wanted one starter".
And still the need to get all 700 cards will be there so you'll buy more and more and more!!!
Have fun. And welcome to the HOMM family.
