Poll Question:
What faction will you NOT play in Heroes V?
Inspired by some of the negative feedback on the towns, here is a little spin-off of the ever-popular "Which faction do you play" polls:
Which faction, whether it is due to the artwork, the creature concepts, or whatever, will you NOT play in Heroes V?
(Haven is left out of the poll, but feel free to write in with an explanation)

I'm sorry but I would have to say Academy. Haven and Inferno were great! Followed close behind with Necropalis which was near perfect but with a few bad graphics and creatures. Then is went all down hill............ The Dungeon looks horrible with the two ladies that look the same one in a red dress and the other in black wearing thongs and platform shoes (spinoff of Games Workshop Warhammer anyone?) expeacilly the Lizard Rider that is totally games workshop! And with the Minotaur thrown in there, WTF! Also, with the Level 1 shooter for 2 towns is so horrible! But I will try it because it is something new with the Dark Elves. Then Slyvan looks pretty cool, I hope they DO have the strippers like the Dungeon does though...... I love half naked thong wearing chicks! Just a little less clothing and it would be the best game! (what they has Nymphs like that in Age of Wonders and they were horney to!)And the fact of elves with swords rocks! Then Academy ripped out my heart........ Tower was my favorite town in Heroes 3, and went downhill in Heroes 4. But the same exact list but without Nagas! No nagas is fine and the cat thing it cool. But the exact same! I was looking forward to new Tower Creatures! 
So I vote for Tower! I will play it but last and the least!

The creatures may be nearly the same but the faction may play completely different from before based on building scheme, building cost, creature cost, resource requirements, etc...
You cant really make a judjement about how much you will like any faction because you dont know how they will work untill u play them. Tower was known for being expensive and resource demanding before and it gained more power later in games as spells and artifacts became available but it may be totally different now relative to other factions. Who knows........

While I find it interesting to quote different sources of inspiration and influence myself, I don't understand why so many people see them as "rip offs". After all, most of Might and Magic creatures are "rip offs" from this or that mythology.

Actually, I can. I'll play Dungeon (and probably Nature and Necropolis later) because I have always enjoyed those... (What does THAT say about my personality?!  )
I will surely try Academy and Haven, but I already find the whole concept boring.

there is no answer because it wont happen
you could have asked "who will not play the campiagns???" cause that question also has no real answer
not playing all the factions is like buying a game and not using all of its features. its just stupid
further support of this is that you havent even played the game and you are somewhat saying that it is not a good game.
i know that i will play all of the factions even if i dont like them. i played as inferno in H3 even though dont like them. i think that everyone will do the same

Or... you could say that making a post about what town you would play as first would've been better? That to me seems more relevant to what the thread starter said.

i didnt say that i have played it i just said that most of you have judged H5 before even playing it. why are you doing this? u are destroying a game before playing it and that is weird. y dont you guys wait till the game comes out before jumping to conclusions.
eg, when we saw the other factions pics we saw a guy with what looked like a gun. everyone thought it was a gun but it is a crossbow. if we were led to believe it was a gun many ppl wouldnt like the game.
so just play the game then give reviews

Needless to say, I will give every faction a try. I am very interested in creatures' looks, stats and abilities. However, I CAN say I will NOT play Haven, simply because I don't like it at all. I don't care for Humans, the art is awfully generic, I couldn't care less for Angels as top level creatures. Again, I will have to get to know my enemy... On the other hand, I know I will enjoy Dungeon, Sylvan and Necropolis. Why...? It is another topic...

No. I haven't played Tower in Heroes 3 because it was too expensive or Inferno simply because I didn't care for the creatures. I hated Academy in Heroes 4 because it had overpowered spells and disliked Necroplois because it was a mixture of the undead and demons.
Nevertheless, I think those were great games.

i am sorry i was just expressing my opinion at the time. it is just that these threads that quickly judge the game somewhat get under my skin

how did u know that the towns were too expensive or too strong? u must of played the town atleast once right???
as an example. everybody loves nature in H4 but i am neutral. i sometimes play nature to see if i can find out why it is so great, even though i have no real liking for the town. i will never buy a game that has factions and not use all of them. kinda like buying fifa 2008 or something that has over 1000 leagues and only playing 1. thats just not me

Maybe someone should rename the thread to "What faction design do you hate"
In that case I would reply:
Inferno. Apart from the Succubus, all creatures look the same. And the devil has nothing devishly, every detail of him is ugly and soullessly designed, adding up to a pile of red stuff and unmotivated metal parts.

You're right, but I think you're argument applies to many more creatures present in this sequel. I think too that details are overwhelemed my quantity of pointless stuff; "if they're from hell they need skulls and chains, big teeth and fire - not much diversity - I'd say succubus is an exception"
As for the dungeon, to make 2 units almost identical is for me complete nonsense. On top of that both have platform-shoes. How much lower can it get?
Vlaad: Where did you get that picture of sprite? I've been looking for H3 artwork with no result. (and nature spirits were always represented with few clothes - I'd say that Botticelli was far more daring than heroes creators, so that sprite is not of of order for me). What's out of order is cavern women with silky skirts, polished nails, high-heels and latex panties. Incredible!

I would have to say that even though i will play them all i would play the Acadamy last, seems a bit too similar to what it always has been, nothing much new. Right now i think i would probably start with the Dungeon or Necropolis, seem to be the most interesting for me, plus my wife normally plays Haven so i get to see them in play anyways.

I won't be playing Dungeon.
It looks as if made for 13 year olds. And reminds me too much of Warcraft3 (no, I don't like warcraft3). On top of that, none of these ladies is pretty.
I would play Haven if it wasn't for Notangel.
Probably not Sylvan - too much fairytale/candy.
So I guess I'll be playing Academy, Necro, Inferno.

I like most of the factions..
I even like the Angel! What i don't like is the cerberi or the Titan.. or the fact that it's mostly known creatures.
The only thing i dislike about Dungeon, is the high heels.. scandily clothed elven women, is what Dark Elves are all about it.
And i also like the unicorn, the upgraded version.
