Deck Patterns
More on what I am seeing from opening some loose boosters and 2 of my 6 starters.
1. It is random whether you get a Warrior Pack or a Magic User pack for your Hero Pack in a starter or a whole booster box. One starter I had was 2 Magic Users for one faction and 1 and 1 for the other faction. But you always get 2 Hero Packs and 1 Extra Pack of each faction (as Jonathan said a while ago)
2. Magic User packs have 2 spells of their alignment.
3. Warrior packs appear to have 1 Artifact and 1 extra Location, but that may vary, need more pulls to confirm.
4. Extra packs can contain 9-11 spells for the alignment and 1 or 2 Artifacts. If it only has 1 Artifact then the other card will be a location. Extra packs also contain some odd creatures that you don't usually see much of in hero packs.
5. The cards in a hero pack are.
- 2 spells or an artifact and location depending
- 1 hero
- 6 Level 1s, split 3 and 3 of the two the town can build.
- 2 Level 2s the town can build
- 1 Level 3 the town can build
- 1 Level 4 the town can build
- 1 Location to build your Level 4
- 1 town
- 3 Primary skill cards (Magic if M-U, Other if not)
- 2 Secondary skill cards
Anyone that gets different please correct me.

Hi !!
are the 3 primary skills cards the 3 level of the same skill or are they 3 different primary skills at random levels ??
another view of my question :
When you get a heroe pack, have you the 3 cards to push the heroe to grand master of its starting primary skill ???
what does it mean that there is no rarity scale for the cards? there is only 1 lvl 3 or lvl4 creature in a heroe booster pack. Compare this number to the 6 lvl1. it seems like there will be 6 more times lvl 1 in the trading market than the lvl 4. and finally lvl 4 are rarer than lvl 1.
thank you
Marsu
PS : pffff... I order my starter display... I have to wait at least 2 weeks... it is hard!!!

The 3 skill cards are Basic/Advanced, Expert/Master and Grand Master. So yes you get all you need to make that hero a GM in the primary skill that is on its card.
In a sense, and in my opinion, there is a default rarity, but it is different than other games because it ends up being a rarity based on what you could realistically play anyway. A Level 4 card costs at least 6 cards to play and can't be built until you've ugraded to Level 4 and won a location for it. So you don't need them in the same quantity as level 1.

This took a while for me to appreciate as well. I am a long time CCGer who has spent big $$ going after complete sets and powerful cards that included a card of a rarity that showed up one per booster box or less. So it's not a matter of rarity based on predetermined number of cards to be printed, but as TFH said, based on what you'd put in a deck.
So yes, you will end up with about 6 times as many level one units (that a town can build) as level 4 units, and even less of some artifacts, spells and locations. Never mind the heroes!
But for trade or value purposes, I think it's pretty much "beauty in the eye of the beholder".

This is my initial view on Extra Packs. I will verify with future pulls.
Extra Packs (1 in 4 of the Booster Boxes and 1 in 3 of the Starters) vary in content a little bit but seem to have.
- 9-11 Spells for that Alignment (Unless its Might)
- Basic Magic Skill card for that Alignment (Unless its Might)
- 6-8 Creatures not buildable in towns.
- 2 artifacts and/or locations
- If its a Might Extra then its got extra artifacts and Monsters

hi!
I ve got another question :
in a starter display there are 3 predefined themed starters.
what about the 3 other starters ??? are they built so that finally each magic appears twice (120 cards per magic) ???

Even in the themed starters there is no set non-magic/magic theme. Every faction except Might has both Magic User hero packs and Warrior hero packs and they are random both in the "themed" starters and in the non-themed.
As far as the other starters in the case. I am not sure what the faction mixes are, but I think they are random. I don't remember mine that well, I made some notes but I don't have them handy right now.

TFH,
Do you mean there are 6 extra packs per booster box and 2 extra packs in each starter set? (not case)
With the Might extra monsters, is it always the sea monsters/mermaids?

Yes that is how it would work out one of each of the 6 alignments in the booster box and one of each of the two alignments in a starter box (not case).
I am not sure on the Might, but I think that's right (3 Mermaids and 2 Sea Monsters probably) I have bought 2 Booster Boxes and a Case of 6 Starters. That should equal 4 extra packs of Might in those and none of my loose packs nor my Gencon Starter had Might in them. So since my inventory is 12 Mermaids and 8 Sea Monsters, I am thinking that is the distribution. But there may be others in there as well.
