every time some1 launchs the game it tells me: "There was an error that prevented the game from being launched. check to make sure the game is properly installed and that the path is correct"

So, perhaps, you should check what was in setupreg.

Run regedit, go to local machine, software, 3do and look at PATHs

Basically you may revert your H3C to run as before by deleting registery record and reinstall the game (it sometimes work without reinstalling depend on what all records you removed previously)

You have to run the setupreg from the directory the game is in...

the setupreg is good. Follow its teachings in every way ^^

This utility it's not working always correctly, often but not always. (due how it's work, only few lines are important other are usually automatically repaired when you launch the game, but not all!)

Finally I recall name of virtual regedit folder it is New Heroes Computing - still not one hundered sure however....

Before you will start regedit changes I hope that you already used Bjorn190 advice ;-)
