questions questions questions ... ;)
Hi everybody !
Here are 3 other questions:
1) How does it work magic leech spell on spell caster creatures (like magi) ???
do we consider that magic leech affects only heroes spell casters ??
for info :
magic leech : use this spell in battle against an enemy spell caster. For the rest of the battle, any spells the target casts, cost twice the normal mana. In addition, the caster of this spell will cut the mana cost of his spells by 1/2 (round up) as long as at least1 enemy spell caster remains in the battle.
2) raise vampire spell : I understand of the text that raised vampires stay in the army unlike raised skeletons, raised ghosts or... raised vampire of the PC game. Is it a mistake ?
for info:
raise vampire : Cast this spell during a battle in which at least one of your vampire units was killed. You may immediately bring a number of dead vampire units back into the battle, placing them back into their original stacks. The number of dead vampires raised cannot excede the caster's level.
3) Is it normal that Black dragons have not at least the samed defense score than behemoth's ??? I have not playes with them yet, but I have the impression that Behemoths are quiet stronger than black dragons, aren't they ?
4) I'm doing my bestiary of the game. I'm missing devils. Could so send me its caracteristics and special abilities ?
thank you !!

1) Since creatures don't use mana it would have no effect on them anyway.
2) That is the way I interpret it too. They stay.
3) Black dragons have spell immunity though and they have a breath attack as well.
4) I can do so later tonight. Still not done with my spoiler list. I was busy all weekend.

Yes, its pretty powerful. All the more reason to kill that spellcaster before the spell is cast. ;-)

Life Ward: This unit's defense vs life-aligned enemies is 14. When a life spell is cast on this unit, roll a die. On a 4 or less, the spell fails.

Behemoths vs Blackies
Don't get me wrong...I love Behemoths. But the ability to fly to the back row (where the Heroes are usually kept) and torch 2 heroes without rolling is pretty important. With Behemoths, you can attack them with an Archer Hero, 1 fire elemental, 2 elves, 2 leprechauns and a sprite (starting creatures for nature). One leprechaun casts Fortune on the Archer, and the rest of the creatures sac to the Archer, and you have a 14, rolling 4 dice.
With a Black Dragon, the Archer Hero and both elves (assuming they are stacked) are dead before they attack, and the remaining troops can muster only a 6 total attack. So, they need a 7 t hit...if they use Fortune they have to roll an 8 (on 1 of 4 dice).

Raise vampire and magic leech.

Yes, raise vampire is correctly worded, and Magic Leech does not effect spellcaster creatures, just heroes...however now that we are mentioning spellcaster creatures, let me assert something about that:
If you have a spellcaster creature, say a Genie casting Ice Bolt, and you have a Hero with the Offense skill that adds to the "Mele and Ranged Attack Scores of all friendly units...", it does NOT add to the attack score of the spell cast by the Genie (or another Hero for that matter). You may of course sac to add your level to the spell's attack as normal, so long as you could have attacked the target yourself, but the spell is a spell, not a normal attack and therefore would only benefit from a skill adding to the attack score of spells (like Sorcery). Likewise, when attacking targets that are inside an undamaged castle, you need not cut the attack score of the spell in half, since it is not a normal ranged attack.

ok ! thank you, everebody, for all these informations...
reading this, antother question is coming to me (I give you an example because i m not fluent enough to ask it clearly ) :
I assume I have a stack of squires (attacking phase 5) and a stack of crossbowmen (attacking phase 8). I sacrifice the attack of the squires to support the crossbowmen attack. What happen if my squire stack is eradicated before my crossbowmen have their attack opportunity ?
CU tomorow!! I m going to bed (it s near 11 pm here )

Your poor crossbowmen have lost their support! So, you have to be careful how late in the round you sac to!

And on that note, notice if the creature you're attacking has first strike. If lots have been sac'ed to a single unit, and that unit takes a dirt nap after the first strike, all supporters lose their attack.
