Well I think we are only a few Non beta testers back here to ponder on the game.
What Really excites me is the Hero battle option!10- 15 minuts for a game!
If this is done right I predict a big boost in the internet community playing the game.I exspect it to be based on gold to by an hero, spells and army and the direct to a battlefield! maybe with some variations around it! Like a turnament mode (8 players all meets all) a challange mode, looser gets a little more gold for next battle , winner keeps his setup
A game option i never had understand that one of the expansions for H3 didn't come with!

aye for h5!
Jondifool, lol... We truly are only a few Non-beta-testers to ponder about the game, the poor folk
Hmm... Let's get back on-topic now. If asked what excites me about the game (about the upcoming game in particular, not the expansions which are going to come up later ) it would be hard to decide which things to choose from that 'treasury'. The whole list would include not only the shifts of graphics' system, gameplay, the returm of h3/h4 features, but also a completely new storyline, new ingame experience, etc. etc.
Here, I am to provide you a little list of what truly amazed me (the texts are put under headings) and how I could rate that. That's not an especially hard task, but it is always hard to choose only a few when there are many
GRAPHICS' SYSTEM:
This shift in the upcoming part possibly pleased me the most. The 3-D, fully-zoomable, 360 rotatable screen is/was/will possibly be the most appreciated feature of the game. The old 2D/h4-2D system is long since it became "worn out", so the new implementation is truly to be awaited. This feature, that new interface, is followed by a lot of new, innovative options, which could even be extended, "upgraded" in future expansions, first of all, completely new appearance of creatures, towns, adventure map objects as well as the fresh gaming experience we would gain while exploring the opportunities the graphic modes offer us.
The graphics' system will not only be appreciated as a wonderful new addition to the game, but it will also make us reflect on, compare the game with older parts of series, which would lead us into even more discussions about what became of the game, how has it advanced since the creation or what flaws are now to be found,
Players, who admire games with 'cool' graphics would also be satisfied by the new system, as it makes the game more vivid, more beautiful and more enjoyable; so-to-say, better
GAMEPLAY SYSTEM:
Well, there aren't a lot of shifts made in this system so far, but I am satisfied already that the old creature system is back. That is nice, as the choice-based system in the fourth part of series was a nuissance. I liked the game over-all, but the creature system was flawed - sometimes it was hard to choose a creature (ie.: Pikemen or Ballistae) as they were almost equal or too easy (ie.: Cyclops or Ogre Mage) because no sign of such thing was to be found. The upgrade system with seven (upgraded : x2) creatures per town was much better, as you didn't have hard decisions to make.
I also liked the magic system and the primary skills returned. The magic system was the one of the best features in h4, so a similar one looked like a necessity in this part of game . It was nice that towns had mostly town-based spells, although I liked when you had to wait until you had a fully-built mage guild in h3 and guess whether you got something like implosion, fly or dimension door (newbie spells, lol ). The primary skill system worked well back then too. Although there were only a few skills (which is I HOPE to be changed ), it was interesting to see the strength and endurance of the creatures' increase little by little .
The DISAPPOINTMENT, the sole disappointment so far, was the skill-tree loss. I liked the skill-chaining in h4, when there were three primal magic skills and one special skill. Well, I see that they are planning to align those special skills to towns, not to a group of primary skills now, which exhilarates me much.
OTHER:
Oh, another disappointment was the combat movement grid as I didn't like those yellowish-green cubes measuring the max. movement. The tiled-grid of h4 suited the game better - a bit more realistic.
But I don't want to bother about disappointing things anymore. Let's luck on the bright side of life
Town screen, aye! Towns, aye! Adventure map, aye! Aye for h5!
Fill the den up with rum, lads! It looks like we, scallywags, are going to have a good ride into the deepest and wildest oceans of the fifth part of Heroes of Might and Magic until our tankards run dry!

I haven't posted on HC in a long, long time, so I don't quite know what you guys think about this new game. I saw the screenshots, and read the info, and here is my humble opinion.
What I am not excited about:
- It won't run on my computer.
- The 3D will make it bulkier, more difficult to control elegantly.
- Too many glowing special effects make it look like a Japanese RPG.
- I doubt this game will be as great a multiplayer hit as H3. I also doubt that it'll be as strategic. Personally, I don't really care about this but I know that many people here do.
But on the other hand, here is what I most certainly am excited about:
- It looks good. Very good. Better than H4, better than H3 and I may even be forced to say that it looks better than H2. Some creatures still look somewhat lame, but all in all, the graphics are amazing. The towns look better than I could've ever imagined.
- All the classic towns are there, but some have new twists. The Academy is beautiful, and the dark elves are a race I wanted to see in the game ever since H3.
- It looks like a solid game, that will bring many new fans to the series.

I don't care
I played all version of this game (including ALL the extensions, even the lame ones (like Heroes Chronicles)). To be honest, I don't care about storyline because I know I'll play the game anyway. But I do like new stuff.
Thus, I am excited about the game itself.
