All I know is that as the game has gotten older (homm3&4) less north americans and more europeans (especially eastern europe 'eurasia').
Why? Probably because the game is more affordable now, and the growth of internet for eastern europeans opposed to 5 years ago.

Yeah, it's like we've just gotten Spectravideo  No, actually we're pretty well off. Few Scandinavians though, I thought there used to be some.
As for EF, it's pretty constant up here in the North
