My Review
What did you guys think of my review of the game at Celestial Heavens? I'm sure you guys know more about the game than I, but I hope I was fair in my comments and gave adequate examples of some of the problems I identified. If anyone from DGA is reading this, too, thanks for the review cards!

Very nice review, although it could have shown greater familiarity.
Hmmm....I was wondering if I was the only one with warped tiles....

Thanks for the reply. Can anyone else clarify the rules mistake Darmani pointed out in my review. I stated that players can flip for your own guards, Darmani said they can't. Here's my reply:
There's nothing in the rules about the defining player not flipping, though. Here's the extract:
Starting with the player to the left of the Defining Player, each player flips a card from his deck into his discard stack. This process continues until one of these flipped cards is a Unit Card. The player who first flips a Unit card is called the Guarding Player, and he places this Unit Card aside.
...
If the Guarding Player moves an Army Stack into that space to try to claim it, he must defeat the Guards to do so. In these cases, the Guarding Player must temporarily hand the Guard Stack to the 1st enemy player to his left until the battle is over to avoid playing both sides in the battle.
UPDATE: Actually, other parts of the rule book do use the phrase "Your opponents will now “flip for guards” (see flipping for guards below)" so you're probably right. I guess this is another instance (like neutral battles in towns) of the manual being unclear. If you can't flip for your own guards it should say so in the "flipping for guards" section. Thanks for pointing this out.
(If Darmani's right, and I suspect he is, I'll errata the review).

Hmmm....did not notice the each "player" part.
However, the attacking your own guards was preceded with a statement calling it a rare situation. It's what you do if your opponent does not attack your Titans, and you want that location for a variety of reasons.

Actually you do flip for guards of your own locations, it can be a benifit as you will not add to the guard, but it still cycles through your deck. This is how it was played at Gencon

If they did it at Gencon like that, that's good enough for me. Also, I can't see the rule about attacking your own guards qualified by "rare".

Also, it was asked on these forums a while back. Marsu made a good summary of all the questions previously asked here. You should be able to link to it here.
