My personal HoMaM IV CCG FAQ
I played all Heroes games for the PC and every Addon. I'm a big fan of the Hotseat mode and I think I really had
thousands of hours with the game. So I don't have to think about buying the Heroes CCG or not. I only have a view
questions about the game. It should be a help for me to buy the right combination of packages. I'm an absolute
beginner to CCGs so maybe you'll find my questions are newbie like - well they are!
1. Starter Set
When I buy a Starter Set as far as I understood I get 7 Tiles (Map Sections), 120 cards of two alignments (60 for each alignment) and all the playing pieces I need.
Q1: If I buy more then one Starter Set do I have any influence what kind of alignments are inside or is it completely random?
Q2: Is there a way to get shure that I get 4 different alignments by buying two Starter Sets?
Q3: If I buy more then one Starter Set do I have any influence what kind of tiles are inside (underground, surface) or is it completely random?
Q4: Is there a way to get shure that I get 14 different tiles by buying two Starter Sets?
2. Booster Packs
A Booster Pack contains 20 cards of one alignment.
Q5: Do I have any influence what kind of alignment the Booster Pack contains?
3. Booster Pack Box
Contains 24 Booster Packs
Q6: Are the included Booster Packs completely random or kind of sortet (like the two alignments in the Starter Set)?
Q7: Are the included Booster Packs the same as I would buy 20 "normal" Booster Packs or is there something special (like a Box for the cards, 1 Pack with rare cards or something like that)?
4. general
Q8: What is a reasonable number of Booster Packs to buy when I want to get shure that I can play at least 3 alignments with a good quality deck of cards and room to experience a bit with different decks? (If all is completely random: what is your experience? What do you think? Of course there is no guaranty...)
Q9: Where is the best place to exchange cards with other players of the game?

it is completely random...
Q2: Is there a way to get shure that I get 4 different alignments by buying two Starter Sets?
No, I dont think so... the only way I know is to buy a starter box including 6 starters... 3 of them being the 3 "opposed challanges" : life vs death ; nature vs might ; order vs chaos.

same response than Q2 : there are 4 tiles sets... in a starter box you are sure to get the 4 sets.
Q4: Is there a way to get shure that I get 14 different tiles by buying two Starter Sets?
No, I dont think so...

well... You shouldn't but they are packed with a transparency film... you can easily guess which alignment you are buying...

1 booster pack box = 4 booster of the 6 alignments...
Q7: Are the included Booster Packs the same as I would buy 20 "normal" Booster Packs or is there something special (like a Box for the cards, 1 Pack with rare cards or something like that)?
No, I dont think so... the only "bonuses" is to get an equal quantity of cards for all alignments...

I would say something like two boosters... that's my own opinion...
