Sydney race riots
About those recent race riots at Sydney's beaches. Apparently police think it is about to get a lot worse and I am fearing that all the Neo-Nazis and other racists groups will send even more text message propaganda. Why do they have problems with the Arabs?
I think that what we need is a serious discussion of people of all different races both in the real world and on these forums. I am white and I know a fair few people of Middle Eastern decent and I hope they don't get into the riots as well.

im a long way from being racist, i have lots of "wog" friends whom i love and would stand in front of any crowd of drunk whites to protect, but i also find it hard to neglect the fact that there are gangs of wogs who continually harass people minding their own business all over sydney... about 6 months ago, 3 fifteen year old wogs jumped the fence and grabbed handfuls of broken brick and stones from potplants and started pelting them from a distance of about 50 metres at myself, two of my best friends and two girls that we were swimming with in one of the pools.. i simply said "id appreciate it if you wouldnt throw another rock in our direction", to which one replied "yeah, what are u gona do about it?" i didnt have an answer..you will have all met people like this before, and im not saying i havent seen whites behave in a similar fashion, but cronulla is a perfect case study, until the last six years weve never had people turn up to the shire who intimidate people SIMPLY to arouse a response and consequently find an "excuse" to screw someone up..the three guys who threw rocks began to throw shadow punches, acting like they were going to hit us.. i find it very hard not to feel like im letting "the team" down, so to speak, but unfortunately only about a half the people in this group of shiries are part of "the team" i wish to exist..i dont want to stand up against people from one extraction, i want to stand up against every person in this country who thinks its ok to harrass people for no reason
one thing i know is that if police dont crack down on both "sides" the moment they emerge, every lebanese/wog in sydney whos up for a fight will turn up with knives and planks of wood and converge on cronulla where every fanatic caucasian and somewhat deranged shire resident will be waiting, possibly with support from people like the "rebels", and this country we call "civilised" will be shown to be twice as **** as every other city in any other era that ive ever called a hole in my entire life.

The interesting part is that something was bad enough to cause this kind of reaction. If that problem persists, then there will be more conflicts. Usually ignoring it just makes it worse.
Peace is of course best, but peace requires living together in peace.
I myself and my mother was chased last week here in sweden by a gang of arab taxi drivers because we told them not to double park (they blocked a bus). I for one would have loved the Sydney mob to be there at the time. I mean, 5 grown men chasing 1 old woman and 1 young man just because we told them not to break the law.. come on, nobody will put up with that in the long run.
There are some problems, and talking about them doesn't make you racist. Ignoring them will only excalate the conflict.
I was kinda for the arabs until they chased us.

True that the cause of these conflicts needs to be addressed, however that is beside the point of these riots.. to have 5000 whites marching down a street chanting "f*** off lebs", wearing t-shirts which says "ethnic clensing unit" and to bash anyone with darker skin, i tend to view these people as very racist indeed. Remember they are not marching for a solution, they are rallying for war.

I am not trying to discriminate against a certain race or anything, but many immigrants from more violent countries will act very pushy once they arrive to a safer and more civilized place like Australia. Their mind works differently than the mind of a calm and generally non-violent "white" Australian (I put "white" in quotations because I was talking about anyone with the same "white Australian" mentality, regardless of their race). If those new immigrants act pushy and they don't see any resistance, they will start regarding you as p***ies and will start getting more aggressive until they get the only response they were raised to respect - force and violence.
But on the other hand, those riots don't look good as well because they are directed not only towards the immigrants who are the cause of this, but also towards the immigrants who are willing to adapt.

What is even more appalling is the fact that these people are singing Advance Australia Fair and Waltzing Matilda out loud to be even more racist. Some of these guys say that they think Arab migration is anti-Australian racism when the whites themselves are being the bigots. They even have offensive language on their shirts and the late night news does not censor it.
We have a few migrants living in my town and have adapted quite well, unlike what is happening in Sydney.

It seems that the threat of attacks from Nazi sympathisers and other racist groups is worse than that of terrorism in Australia. The major Neo-Nazi group in Australia is the Patriotic Youth League (PYL). This particular group has been responsible for desecrating a Jewish Synagogue and an Asian restaurant with their propaganda.
This only leads to this conclusion: There will be further threats and attacks by these racists. Possible targets include:
- Sporting events
- R&B/Hip-Hop specialist nightclubs
- Places of worship
- Modified car shows such as Summernats and Auto Salon here in Australia.
These places and events have a strong ethnic support and are targets for white supremacists.

This one seems motivated by the racial tensions of an undeniable underlying class-system. People like this are driven by fear and no military on earth has the right to hurt them. Only forgiveness, negotiation, and inspiring leaders should handle this.
