I followed your advice JJ[everyone takes out bills of cash and starts paying JJ].I like the history,it's cool how it ties in with the Academy one.My only complaint is the Scarabs. How could people really fight Scarabs? They're so small and numerous that you'd never hit all of them.

You can always smash them with your feet
I think the death animation can show (depending on the damage) several scarabs being smashed (like exploding).
I'm including a picture of how the town could look (just one approximation).
I'm working on creature balance and additional info.
Thanks for the comments.

I know you could kill many, but scarabs would always win against whatever force they're against.Just imagine a big army attacking a swarm of scarabs. They'rd always be some that escape and bite the living ones to death.

Damn bugs!
Quote: I know you could kill many, but scarabs would always win against whatever force they're against.Just imagine a big army attacking a swarm of scarabs. They'rd always be some that escape and bite the living ones to death.
I think it could be done following some animation rules:
-If the number of scarabs are less the one defined value (a), draw few scarabs.
-If it is bigger than a and less than b, draw several to many scarabs.
-If it is bigger than b, draw a swarm of scarabs.
The damage is calculated equally as it would be done to another unity. Only the stack graphics would change. It should not be too hard to do (maybe it could use only 2 animations).
I just updated the faction general info. Waiting comments... I am not happy yet with my army. I think I need another flying unit. Any suggestions?
With best regards,
JJ

Just to repeat myself - and offer a little constructive critisism...
What is it about your faction ideology that makes it more than just a mix of necropolis (seek immortality) and academy (knowledge is the key to everything)? If you could somehow add something more - something that would set them apart from the other two it would be a large bonus to your faction IMHO.
Best of luck to you.

I just "promoted" the sphinx to a flying creature... but thanks for the idea

I think all factions have something similar: they seek power (no matter in what form). I rewrote the ideology to focus that the immortality is just a way for them to gain enough power to challenge the Dragon Gods themselves. Immortality is just a path (a mean) to supreme power.
All comments/ideas are welcome.
Thank you guys.

Race: 8 (very interesting race, still, much in common with the necropolis)
History: 9 (Good history, but it is too big and lots of spots have nearly nothing to do with your faction)
Creatures: 6 (most of the special abilities and creature role isn't clear enough. Although some are indeed interesting, extra points for lvl 7)
Balance: 7 (one of the most balanced so far,(7 is much for this issue) but may be because of the dificult to actually understand some abilities, again I must say that first strike don't fit in H5, where there is no simultaneous attacks)
Originality: 7 (good, but it don't add much from egyptian culture and still much like the necropolis)

Race: 8
A good, solid homogenous concept.
History: 7
Good, although someties inconsistent (e.g. the Necromancers had the strength to almost destroy Queops although they were being battered by the academy and had to flee to Heresh)
Creatures: 7
A classic line-up, well thought up special abilities
Balance: 8
Good balance IMO. The faction would be worth playing
Originality: 7
Very original in that which concerns gameplay and story, but the constant reference to ancient Egypt is killing the originality.
TOTAL: 37

Race: 6 (Great potential, but description is a little short - I want to know more...)
History: 9 (Making an egyptian based town fit into the Heroes universe is not easy - but you make a great job doing just that)
Creatures: 7 (Interesting creature abilities, some more description of units would be nice)
Balance: 8 (Seems well balanced. Would be interesting to play with)
Originality: 6 (Nice slave concept, original creature abilities, but with so much typical egyptian in it I can not give you a higher score here)
Overall: 36 / 50

Quite nice. Certainly the Wadjet should be there in my mind.
Hmm, 37 or 38...
Depends on whether the chariot is put in or not.
37.5/50
or 37/50 if I'm not allowed half marks.
Mainly because this is a little too Egyptian themed; the theme does not pertain to something Heroes-related.

Tomb
Race(3 +3 )=6 the lack of a strong centralizing race detracts from the compatibility with HOMM5. This looks more like an HOMM3 lineup.
History(1 +5 )= 6 this is exasperating trying to sift through the official history to find yours
Creatures(2+ 4)=6 yes this is a great interpretation of an Egyptian theme but we need something original. I’m also having a hard time buying the idea of slaves fighting for their overlords (yes Nival does it and I don’t approve it then either).
Balance(3+4 )=7 The slave power and mummy power are too similar to necro.
Originality=5
Total Score=30
How I graded these:
Race (Originality [1-5]+Compatibility with HOMM5 universe[1-5])
History (How interesting is it to me [1-5] +Compatibility with HOMM5 universe [1-5])
Creatures (Originality [1-5] +Internal Consistency [1-5])
Balance (are the special skills inventive [1-5] + Does it have a variety of flyers, shooters, walkers, spell-casters [1-5]
Originality (all the originality scores added up and divided by two. This means that creativity counts twice. [1-10])
33 to go

Comments: The idea of an Egyptian town is creative, as it wouldn’t be the best race to assimilate with the rest of the game – a magical, desert town is already present, as is an undead town. However, you’ve managed to adapt the concept of Egyptian History to the Heroes Universe quite well, especially reflected in creature selection. The balance of the town is also quite good, with some nice special abilities choices made throughout, particularly for heroes. The most of the history has been copied with a few of yours inserted, and I would have liked to have seen the Tomb’s history by itself and developed further. A good effort, but unfortunately too distinctly different compared to the game.

man this is the best town i have seen so far.
i like egyptian style a lot and i wolyd love to see this town in h5.
just one comment.
i think your 7 level creature is a little to overpowered with its soul collecting ability.+200% is way too high...just imagine it in battle.it would be devastating for the opponent.
oh and the name...(that makes them two comments huh?)
Anubis was a god so i do not think that mighty anubis is the answer for the upgrade's name.trying a different god for example could fit well in my opinion.try Osiris the god of the underworld...
