Game Reports?
Hey, is anyone playing this game? No one reported how/if that Chicagoland tournament went, so there's still no real info. If so, lets hear some game reports, strategies that worked, cool plays, lucky moments, interesting combos, odd deck designs... anything!

That Chicago tourney only ended up with me and 2 friends so we just played it as a casual big map battle. Dranuth won that one.
We are mostly playing casually and as a matter of fact we are playing tonight.
People are buying it at our store, its just no one is coming out for tourneys. Plan to try and run something for late February/early march.
Angels and Vampires (not combined but as alternating themes) seem to be popular amongst our group. Working on testing out some hero heavy decks and maybe a spellcaster deck. Should see one or more of them in play tonight.
We like bigger map games better now because you get to flesh out your strategy more.

Yeah, the high-phase flying creatures seem like they could be particularly powerful. My life deck currently has 5 angels and counting . Unfortunately I've only got 1 vampire to my 5 venom spawn.

Are these cards ever going to come out or is this game dead. What is the problem with DGA? Do they want to lose money and have this game be a failure? They must be smart with no business skills because they dont know how to market and sell worth a S***.

Just curious, but have you ever tried to get wal mart to stock your product? And is there a reason you can't order online?

Just thought I would give you a heads up on this point since it seems to be a recurring question. The mass market is like a large boat. It does not move quickly. We have several ins to the mass market making moves in the very near future. We did expect to already be on the shelves in wal-mart by now, and since we are not yet, we have chosen be more cautious about projections on the subject. Soon, we will be able to announce that we have shipped to the mass market and you can buy them at your local <insert mass market outlet here> stores.
What I CAN tell you is this. There are 3 different mass market distributors whom we have agreed to terms with, and that we would not be surprised to get an email from tomorrow instructing us to send them product.
Until then, if you have a local hobby store that does not carry the product, email me and tell me who they are. Our hobby games distributors (ACD, Alliance, Blackhawk, Esdevium, etc) are doing fine with the product, but if you give us the name of your local store, we can make arrangements directly with them, or tell them about incentive programs that certain distributors have for new stores wishing to try it out.
We will also be posting the final portion of the Order of light Campaign...I would love to hear a blow by blow of someone's experience with the first two scenarios. I know how the internal tests have gone, and I am very curious how other players have played them.

to psycho, the reason i dont order online is because it cost alot of money to ship and is a pain in the... Another reason i was angery is because i felt that there is not enough buzz about the game. Im sure that there are stories and things out there to talk about the game but since the people that should be facilitating this stuff are not generating the buzz the game is lossing its fan base.

I understand that, but I'm sure that there is no one who want's to develop buzz and get better distrubtion of this than DGA so I'm sure they're doing all they can. It's a shame that the buzz does seem to be dying a bit, though.

Try mixing Angels with a Nature Summoning Skill deck. Don't bother with the level four location for Phoenixes or Faerie Dragons. Define an Angel creature dwelling and put in Gold Mines. Use summoning to build up your army with level 1 and 2 creatures (Wolves and White Tigers). Use the Gold Mine money to buy Angels. Its a mean deck, thought still pretty basic. The best thing about it is you don't have to keep running back to your castle for reinforcements. With that in mind I try to pick a castle that takes a long time for the rest of the players to get to.

7 tiles. We took out all underground and all "island" tiles and then selected seven tiles randomly. We agreed the map had to have a center tile with 6 tiles around it. It made the game interesting as you got to pursue some of your later game strategies.

That sounds really cool. I've actually got my nature deck overloaded with those low level creatures and 3x summoning, those wolves and tigers are surprisingly powerful.

ccgarmory.com sells Heroes IV ccg
Seemed like good prices too and low cost shipping options.
Also, I found a store in Northern VA, the game parlor, that sells it, though they supposedly haven't sold that much of it.
I'm a fan of the computer and this card game and hope it gets bigger over time.
There's a store in Maryland that might not be selling it. It's called DreamWizards.

Hi Destroy,
Dream Wizards carrys it, but I know some one (not me) cleaned them out a month or so ago. I've been out of town and don't know if they've gotten more in, but I'm pretty sure they will. I'm waiting to hear from either the owner or one of the main guys who works there to see which night I'll be in to do my next demo. They want to add it to strategy game night which has been 3rd or 4th Thursday of the month. I'll post here when I finally get it confirmed. Hope to see you there!

I could be up for that (though I usually have other plans on Thursdays). Send me a message when you do it. Also, maybe we could meet there sometime on a weekend and play. Do they allow open gaming of any time if there's room?

Hi everyone --
I will be at Sci-Fi Summer Con June 16-18 in Atlanta.
It is a small show we have every year in Atlanta.
I will have a dealer table there and will have Heroes IV (CTG) games there (in stock) for sale.
I'm not sure if Shaunon or anyone will be running any games of Heroes, but there is always the possibility. If there is an interest in advance, then he most certainly will bring the Heroes game stuff.
Hope to see some of you there.. Come by and say hey...
Tom
