CPU usage

Hello there.

Been a while since I last played Heroes 3...and today tried one from Gamespy, but got a problem with CPU usage.

Going all the way to 100% and while game might be playable, still bugs me. No fluidity in mouse moves, skips and stops, and game is slower.

Never had similar problems with it before. Anyone might have an idea why it uses now so much CPU resources, and how to fix it?

Ive had it happen before but not with the heroes game.  Often refers to a virus.

Alt tab out of heroes while its running.   Hit cntrl alt del at the same time then click the process tab.   The cpu column should show you what exe file is hogging the cpu process time.

Heroes uses almost 100% on my PC as well. It's not a problem, though, as it seems to be somewhat lower priority. It doesnt steal away resources from other applications.
