Age of Heroes ICTC: The Winners!
Welcome everyone to the new Age of Heroes Coliseum forum. This is now the home of ICTC and the future Age of Heroes contests (more on that soon ).
The contest has been an overwhelming success, over 60 entries and over 2000 posts of activity. We have not expected that. And having a few days to judge 60 entries, many of which are lengthy and of a very high quality was not sufficient. With a slight dellay, we have judged and tallied the entries, and with delight I announce the top three winners:
#1 Island by FriendOfGunnar
- FriendOfGunnar will be immortalised as a hero in the upcoming Heroes 5 Collectable Card and Tile Game!
UPDATE! And here he is: Fenris of Inferno!
- He will also receive a Deluxe Heroes IV CTG Starter Set and 6 booster packs. This set also includes the computer version of HOMM4.
#2 The Ziggurat by War-overlord
- War-overlord won a Heroes IV CTG Starter Set,
- and a Escape Velocity Nova Game Starter Set.
#3 Bastion by BoogieMan
- BoogieMan gets a choice of any Battlecards Game Starter Set (with 5 expansions),
- and 3 Heroes IV CTG booster packs.
Big thanks to DGA Games for sponsoring our contest and providing these great prizes!
In addition, 25 Quality Points have been given out to selected ICTC entries to signify their quality. This also makes the new forum easier to browse if you are looking for a good read.
Final Phase! Now, given that Nival will accept entries in English, and given that each of the winning entries can be positively improved from the feedback it received, instead of making translations I am making the winning threads sticky in this forum and invite every single ICTC participant to help make our winners the best possible masterpiece out of their entry. We have another few days before the Nival deadline, so let's make a push for it as a community, and help our champions! ICTC Continues!

Someone help me... I'm addicted to ICTC
No seriously though, this contest has unpopped a giant champagne bottle of creativity in me. Many thanks to Valeriy for organizing this contest (and DGA games for their sponsorship).

WooHoo !!!
Second Place !!
I'm verry happy and pleased with second place.
I would like to congratulate FriendofGunnar, the best man won.
I also would like congratulate BoogieMan with his third place.
I will improve my entry and would like to ask for suggestions, mainly on ballance as that is obviously my weak point.
@Frakel: I realy don't mind you being the most grumpy, as it has led to a discussion which I enjoyed very much. To bad we haven't continued it for a week or more.

Yes, comments are allowed for everyone. No restrictions now, everyone can improve their entries, reply to ratings, etc, but of course the main focus should be to assist the three finalists.
Now, as for prizes, I need all three winner's names and addresses - HCM them to me. For the #1 winner I also need:
1) Photo showing good facial features.
2) Choice of town from Heroes 5 that his card is to come from (Haven, Academy, Necropolis, Dungeon, Inferno, or Sylvan).
EDIT: From BoogieMan I also need to know which BattleCards set he has chosen for his prize.

Congratulations - a well deserved victory for all three of you - and thanks for the beer
@ War-overlord: Apparently I was the most grumpy rater of all regarding your faction, but I enjoyed our discussions afterwards. Good luck in the following contest
(...takes a healthy sip of golden beer...) Ahh - very nice. My burrow-orcs are VERY displeased with me for doing such a lousy work of describing their ´noble way of life´... (...When taking a closer look you notice that Frakel has apperently been bruised several times with a large stump instrument... )

Which sets do I have to choose from? I see there are 4 on display in the Purchase section of the site you provided. Western Europe Theater, Russian Front, Pacific Theater and North African Campaign. One of these 4?

I see.
I noticed that there are entries with possibly plaglarize artworks.
So are these artwork going to be sent as well with(or without) the owner's permission?

Also, I noticed several of the threads are rated with a red star (eg. the tomb, the highwind clan etc). Are these considered quality ictc post?

The prizes are being mailed out today
And yes, quality post / quality point / quality bonus / red star next to a thread are all just different names for the same thing.
