Someone shut up Bobby
First a note back to Boss... good to see you and I hope after your frustration subsides you'll reconsider. We only played a few times and if I remember right that was more cause I like randoms too much. LOL Anyway I always liked your honor and hope to see you when HoMM5 is lighting desktops.
As far as points go there are people who play for points, people who play for fun and people who do both. I sort of fall into the last category. I play for fun first but I like to have a goal to also give games a bit of extra meaning and my time spent playing an achievement of sorts. Pretty much that has been trying to achieve an actual winning record one of these days. If you look me up (You have to use Lord_Bobby_Ohms because for some reason I had to put underscores in at one point {Side note can someone get rid of those possibly?} and wanted to add the Lord part to sound more like I belonged in Heroes) you will see I have 5 loses with no wins to Frank (Probably not alone there. LOL) and 3 wins with a loss to Rad1025, a noob at the time who I enjoyed playing with so much I helped him learn the game. There were several games I didn't take wins for simply because I didn't want to take advantage of an inexperienced player but he was such a nice guy I liked playing him and teaching what I could.
I like games to count for something but I don't care where someone is points-wise as long as it's fun for both in the end. Only reason I refuse games is if they don't like the same maps/rules choices I do, they have questionable honor or have not played a few games to establish their honor. The last one is just what it says. I don't often play noobs not because I might lose a bunch of points but because I prefer to know what sort of player they are first. This board is full of stories of bad games because people play with people they don't know or have learned the preferences of. Sure noobs have to get games somehow and that remains an issue but putting a counter somewhere for every time someone says no to a game isn't the answer. Plus how do you keep some fools from going around tarnishing reps of honorable players for laughs or cause they get up on the wrong side of the bed that day?
As for Rob I'll brown nose a bit too. I joined ToH back at the beginning of Season I HoMM3 and was the first to help him with updating the rankings page (Where am I on the volunteer page btw? ) and can tell you first hand the dedication he has put into this site. There are a few others out there that know what a pain it was getting 100+ win/loss reports a day before the automation and having to update the rankings and add the new players by hand and updating HTML. It took hours from your day not to mention gaming time. Plus doing the points math was always fun. LOL He did that all himself until he had to go to Hawaii or someplace to shoot some babe if I remember right LOL and I started helping share the load and then later others joined the fray. He has given so much time and money to this site and I just want to add my thanks.
Okay Rob where is that $100 you mentioned if I put up this post? LMAO
