Tatics Of The Un-Wise( stupid mistakes)
Have you ever had a heroes match where they computer or player just makes a stupid mistake and its like he is doing it on purpose. Like i was playing player that i met somewhere and he decided to attack me the first week. I mean not even RECRUTING ANY CREATURES BESIDES THE ONES THAT COME WITH THE HERO what a dumb move since i build my town before i start my battle tatics my hero was reletivly weak but i did recruit a few harpies so he was defeated no matter what since i had two hereos and he had one. U guys no that was a stupid mistake lol it was on day 4.( if your wondering how he got to my heroe so fast it was his created map and obviously there was no skill envoled lol) I hate when i win stupid hereos games like that.
Or how about when i computer somehow looses your battles when you clearly have the advantage over the player. Is this a glich i had 10 Black Dragons 40 Minotour Kings and others and lost to 20 dwarfs this has to be a glitch. Share your thoughts to the Tatics of the Un-wise also known as stupid mistakes by players

You know what I hate, when you think you clicked to attack a creature in battle, but you actually just moved your creature right in front of them. I really hate that!
Or when you fall for the same "Ambush" event twice.
Or when you go to attack a town that has little troops, you know has recruited in forever, then when you attack they have every troop imginable from recruiting. If only i checked!

hehhe kewl Thunder_knight.
I've just got a stupid move to report from myself.
When I realy outnumber the AI I get careless.
The number of times I had my dragons/phoenix destroy a lot of my own troopes are countless.
Ofcourse you'll still win the map.....but its very frustrating!
I gues we all now this situation. Cursing behind your monitor about your own stupidity!

Or what's worse
Forgetting to build something really important to your game...like a Castle when you've got an enemy breathing down your neck with slightly superior troops... I still smack myself for that sometimes.

One of the silliest things that I see, time and time again is people building for creatures on 160 percent difficulty, running out of money and finding that they've got no resources. No resources, no cash, no mines and NO ARMY! LMAO!
Running out of money early in the game without income will put you in trouble. If the map is random and you find treasure sparse, then you will find it very difficult to win.
Another silly thing is waltzing your Level 7s into a well defended castle after the enemy has waited with all units. LOL a single stack of level 7s, with no backup, surrounded by the enemy is one of the silliest things that you could ever do.

Stupid mistakes!
I am always making stupid mistakes but that is part of being human some of mine are here:-
Going into battle and forgetting to visit a magic well before and having no spell points for the battle.
Attacking opponent sitting in castle without chaining all your creatures to your main and then having your opponent destoy your ballista and he has shackles...I just hate that..
When you are offered skills say earth magic or estates and you choose estates on your main instead of earth and dont get offered earth again...its especially bad on a map with utopia and you have resurrect...omg that is a pain.
Taking a pandoras box with a hero other than your main..
Putting slow creatures on your main at the end of turn instead of taking all but fastest creatures off them.
Not building mage guild on day one or forgetting to get spell book day one and going into a battle that you need some magic in.
etc etc etc....but sometimes, on very rare occasions you dont make any of these mistakes and the feeling is just soooo cool...hehe

I remember a situation in HoMM2 like this: I had two units of Blackies. Don't remember how many. I attacked a weak computer hero. Killed most of his army really quickly. Then he had only one slow unit. But it was kinda tough! So I send one of the blackies and attack him. Then I send the other blackies and attack. A little error and I have only one dragon unit.

Sometimes I think the biggest mistake I ever made in Heroes 3 was opening the box and hitting 'Install'. I mean, when I think of the time I could have been using to write the Great American Unread Novel, or doing charity work for the Gazebos .... LOL
Actually, my biggest bonehead mistakes seem to be being a bit too sloppy with the mouse, and casting "Quicksand" when I wanted to flip the page over to cast "Resurrection", and forgetting to transfer troops over to my main just before a big attack. It's the old "put everything but your fastest stack in garrison so you'll have more movement points the next day" trick, and then merrily romping off without the rest of my army. That's one of the times I pray for my computer to freeze up in the middle of the fight so I can recover with the autosave. Fortunately for me, that happens enough to save me from my own stupidity.

.
I think the worst mistake I make over and over again is to have a hero visit every magic school, and even have a few magic mastery's, and never check to see if he has a spell book.
Then I'll forget about it after battle and go fight in another battle!
"Oh, yeah. I still don't have a spell book . . ."

Latest dummery (sic)
The very night I discovered/joined HC, I was playing an H3 hot seat at work (with two of the other admins and a former admin, let's call them Ozzy, Caius, and Grek, for these are their names ). At first, I was paying attention to every detail, helping out my team-mate (we were playing 2 human teams vs. 2 computer teams ), snooping on what the others were doing (hey, it is common usage down here), the usual.
An hour later, my team-mate Grek had to go home, not sure whether he'd be coming back too soon. We saved, and replaceded him with a guy that's hanging around a lot. Mig mouth, know-all, never-wrong, you know the type :| Let's call him Bobo, for that's what people call him lately anyway .
I suddenly lost interest in watching my buddies' turns, and started 'Netting instead. Just in time, I glanced at the screen to see what Bobo was doing:
One of his heroes, loaded with troops and some artifacts, coming from east, meets up with another one of his heroes, moderate in critters, few scrolls, coming from the west. Rendezvous screen comes up, with hero that moved in (coming from east) on the LEFT side of the screen, and other hero on the RIGHT side. Now, I don't know how this screen thing actually works, I always look up at their icons to see who's who, never worried about heroes' position here... So I had to look up at his heroes to see which was his main. He moves stuff around a lot, confusing us all (he wanted to save some critters for another *backup* hero, and he put all the spell scrolls on a hero, without checking if he had those spells in the book, that caused a major flame, as it turned out that he didn't know how to do that )
So, he moves away with one of his heroes, pick up a fight with some monsters on the map, and--surprise!!! he's grossly outnumbered! He mistook the heroes (blamed us for it ) and sent his best hero, almost loaded with artifacts and scrolls, to sudden death. Then he started pleading with us to let him use the "C-Cast cheat" (yeah, dirty job, but some of us still do it. Drew a line there for that particular game though!) not once considering RETREAT (which we--especially me--would accept). He he loses his main, some high-level critters, and ALL his artifacts (was gonna take two opf them to seers hehe).
I suddenly lost all interest in my partner's moves, as he was getting worse and worser and started concentrating on mine only, fouling up a lot in the process (go figure). I still can't wait to see how Grek would react upon meeting Bobo
The reason I wrote all this down is because it's happened a lot to me and to people I know, and maybe someone could explain to me how exactly the heroes on that screen are supposed to show up?
Thnaks all,
The Misspleler
