The return of...HC Awards 2006
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, HC Awards is back for 2006. This has become a rather annual thing, since 2003. And I do believe this is the fourth installment of the HC Awards, created by yours truly.
Anyways, for you newbies, this is how it works.
You submit votes to me via HC Messaging ,or, if you want, you may post them in this thread. There will be several categories.
However, there are a few rules

No Voting for yourself - In any category
No voting for two different members in 1 category
You Must Vote in at least half the categories, or your votes will be counted null and void.

After a set deadline - Which I will establish later, I will make polls in the Volcanic Wastelands for each category, using the top three nominees in each category. The winners will be announced after the polls are finished.
Anyways, good luck to all members.

I only just noticed that thread and I'm sorry to see nobody seems to care about it anymore, 2X. 
My guess is that due to the "recent events" on this forum, some users might have lost their faith in the whole "getting an Award for your efforts in HC" concept...
However, that's a very sad reaction if it is, because (if I understood correctly the principles here) :
* Contrary to the regular Awards one can get on this forum, those CAN'T be taken away afterwards.
* Contrary to the regular Awards one can get on this forum, those are given as the result of an actual VOTE.
* Contrary to the regular Awards one can get on this forum, those aren't given by the forum's authorities but by actual fellow members of this COMMUNITY.
Hence, I'm highly disappointed to see it ignored like that.
I'll gladly add my vote as soon as you'll clarify a few points for the relatively "new user" I am  :
1) Does it concern only whatever happened in HC in the PREVIOUS year ?
2) Is your giving up definitive ?
3) How popular has this been the previous years ?
Well, in any case, grats for your effort. I LOVE this idea.

Well, I ran it the first and second time...I think Angelito did the third one..
They all turned out fairly successful.
No I'm not permanently giving up.
Yes, this is for events that have happened in the past year, as stuff that had happened the year before that had already been given awards and stuff in the previous HC awards.

@ Edit: How about we make it more orriginal and make a
Golden Raspberry Award too this year?
For those who don't know yet, the Golden Raspberry Award is the opposite of the Oscars. It awards the "worse" in show bizz that year. Don't u think it will be cool to have such a thing in HC too?

Isn't it a great feeling to nominate all your buddies for the awards?
I guess all the awards will be split between, Tigris, Russ, Marreti, Lkru, Xarfax and Angelito.
It will work something like that:
(The categories do not matter)
Tigris: "I nominate Xarfax, Lkru, Marreti, Angelito and Russ for whatever cause they are my buddies."
Russ: "I think that my buddies are the best and should get all the awards and they are..."
And so on... and on... and on...

You're breaking my heart, there, TNT dear. 
1) You forgot ME on that list, even though I'm the one who revived that (previously blatantly ignored) thread in the first place.
2) I didn't just nominate my buddies, I also made them vote, and hence further revive the thread.
3) From my list, (in alphabetical order to avoid hurting anyone's feeling more than necessary) :
* Acu, Angelito, Russ and Tig ARE my buddies.
* Xarfax takes some explanation. I see X. as a (brilliant in its own right) leftover from the crazy experiences some mad evil scientists had to do in order to finally bring ME (the final result) to the World.
Hence, his mild jealousy towards my being a slightly better genius than him, coupled with my soft spot for him (he reminds me of my tender years) will probably always keep us from actually becoming "buddies".
Which doesn't keep us from still (more or less secretly) loving and admiring each other like mad.
So yeah, Mister X. will always be something special in my eyes.
* The other folks I nominated are NOT my "buddies" (yet ? ). So it mathematically cannot be the reason for my voting for them, won't you agree ? hehehe
4) Some of my HC buddies didn't make it to the list. I hope they will understand.
5) There's a restriction that you can only vote for people that were already members in 2005. Sadly, some great people have only joined in January 2006 or later (otherwise, my buddies would have voted for ME, no doubt !  ).
Most notably, a guy like Loknar would have had my vote any day of the week if he had only registered 24 hours earlier !
Bah, if HC still exist in a year or so, their time will come, eventually !
