No need to worry about it.
I can honestly say that I've never used Sacrifice or Misfortune more than once, either, probably because there's always been better spells to cast. I can imagine Sacrifice becoming helpful for those tough battles, but the need hasn't arisen yet.
I don't think Misfortune is useless, but the usual availability of better spells renders it less useful most of the time.

Yeah, I have never used Sacrafice, i mightve used Misfortune once, but it didnt work, so I havent used it again, And there are better spells than these so i dont use them, mainly because there are better spells to cast.

It's already been said, but sacrifice is one of the most powerful spells in the game. And yes, for singleplayer too.

In my oppinion it is Misfortune because in most cases the enemy have 0 or only +1 luck.The luck cant go on minus so sorrow is better magic.
Well other thing is that there are a lot of disapointing magics(Sorrow,Magic Mirror and e.g.) when you expect somthing useful on lvl 4 or lvl5 magic guild.
Sacriface can be crutial magic so i think that somebody haven't written his homework in the up posts.

What those "View" spells are worth exactly (not a complete list of all the info each gives, but what makes them so crucial) :
* Expert View Air reveals the precise location and color of any and all heroes on the whole map.
* Expert View Earth reveals the precise location anc color of any and all towns and mines on the whole map.
In any long run game, if you're the only one who has them, you can sit back and relax while your BLIND opponents BLINDLY wander about.
At ONE spell point each, that's an incredible bargain. In any long game, I WILL make sure to have at least one hero who can cast each at Expert. And I WILL cast both very VERY often. And it WILL make a tremendous difference in the game.
Vital info for you to know.

view earth/air can often make the difference between a win and a loss in multiplayer.
Of course it doesn't matter if you're playing against the computer (nothing actually matters when you're playing vs comp, just don't suck really bad), but information about the map and about the opponent is often vital in multiplayer games.

But other spells can do more help. I don't say the view spells are bad. But compared by the other, it is less useful.

Actually, when compared to other spells, they are extremly useful.
Aside from thier great help you get by casting them, you don't 'lose' a turn. ;-)

Actually the View air, earth whatever spells are really usefull, you can see where artifacts are, where enemy heroes are, everythin, they are not a bad spell at all.

And I must of course (pretend to) agree. What are these spells worth in your games, after all ? All they do is giving you crucial strategical information !
No doubt that in the type of games you play, Inferno or FireBall are much more usefull, for instance ! It does Direct Damage to those LOTS of pikemen that guard your ore mine. And flagging that mine the first month (yeah, the FIRST MONTH) is always a winning strategy !
Will, you also have a point about Lightning spells. Just make sure to get Intelligence and Mysticism with your Solmyr. Sometimes, these pikemen require up to 3 (yes THREE !  ) Bolts to die !

Ice bolt is useless (said that already). Look: there's a higher probability of getting lightning bolt than ice bolt. Besides, ice bolt deals puny damage compared to lightning bolt. Plus, lightning bolt is only 2 points more expensive. And, everyone here prefers to actually take basic air than water - you won't lose a skill slot to "empower" your bolt. Ice bolt useless!!!
After all, all other spells are useful. without dimension door, I would never capture steadwick with gunnar. in my second month. Pathetic.

3. fly
4. teleport
5. slow
6. haste
7. blind
8. berserk
9. bless
off topic, but by far the BEST spell ever is HYPNOTIZE. that spell is the BOMB!

Thanks Legend. I like Solmyr, I will defeat you in Multiplayer, And I will teach you something.
Thanks for saying that I have a point about the Lightning bolt spell.
I still think that Misfortune is one of the worst spells, and Sacf\rafice mainly because I hardly use them and I dont have any need for them.

Immediately after your lvl 3 Solmyr destroys my lvl 18 Galthran, the fact that you're the next big thing after Djeezus will become too obvious to ignore !
By the way... Have you considered copyrighting those highly innovative ideas of yours, yet ? 
I honestly think such statements as "Solmyr is the best, he has chainlightning, my favorite and most ultimate spell" or "in my opinion, the drums are the rythm of a song" are worth publishing !
