Heroes IV CTG and the mass market!
Ok. DGA is proud to announce that K-mart stores is testing out the Heroes of Might & Magic IV CTG. Today we finally shipped out a 50-store test order to Vintage Sports Cards for distribution in K-Mart stores. It should take about a week to get the products out to the actual stores that they will be tested in.
Then it will be up to us (and the heroes communities) to show K-Mart the rabid fan-base of the Heroes of Might & Magic license. If you have a K-mart in your town, ask them next week if they are carrying the product. If they are not, ask the manager to request it from Vintage. The more requests they get, and the faster the product sells out of the 50 test stores, the more likely they will be to give it wide distribution in all 1450 K-marts around the country. We are taking steps to inform the public about out product and the new K-mart relationship.
Thanks for your patience in this matter...I know it has taken a lot longer than we hoped, but the light at the end of the tunnel is getting much brighter very quickly.
Oh yes, and lets not forget, we would like to welcome Pegausus Spiel and Ulyses Speil, two competing German distributors who have recently brought on board the Heroes IV products.

Good news. I hope it helps this game and also helps you get wider distribution of the H5 game.

Where I live, K-Mart doesn't exist. Would a card game shop work, and not just K-Mart?

Sure, of course, we welcome requests to any outlet. The K-mart thing is just another level of marketing and distribution because they can make the buying decision for 1450 stores.

Precisely the plan! Also if we can generate success in mass market outlets like K-mart it will give us the inside track on other mass market outlets. The same distributor (vintage) handles Toys R Us's card game supplies for instance, and Hastings is still considering the products. Anyway, if this is successful, the Heroes V game is guaranteed much wider distro...by the way, we will have some more information to post soon about the upcoming Heroes IV expansions as well.
