The pieces do not form a triangle.
EDIT: before someone misinterprets the words above, I am speaking of the upper composition.

yep, upper isnt a triangle but is rather a quadralateral. the bottom left of the triangle and the top right angle slightly inward. in the bottom pic the same happens except they angle slightly outward to make 1cm^2 figure
or something like that

If the things that actually happened is like your post, there should be one more square outside the triangle. But there is one missing square without one appearing square as subtitute.
So, where is the missing square?

Look. In the upper composition, the longest side is sort of dented, 'punched in'. In the lower one, the reverse applies. The line is pushed slightly outwards, and the difference in size produced by this change is compensated by removing the one square.

But have you calculate how many m^2 the area is in each pic?
Are the area of those two pics same??

Try to read all of these colors, not the words, in less than 20 seconds!!!
For example, in the first word, 'YELLOW' , has green color. So, don't read the word as YELLOW, but GREEN!!
For supersonic, I can't still find THE HIDDEN TIGER! But I'll find it!
