Poll Question:
Which HOMM5 faction will you play first?
And here we go for another weekly HC Poll.
Less than a month before HOMM5 is released. Just picture this: HOMM5 is in your hands! You remove the wrapping carefully but swiftly and extract the precious (preeeeciousssss) DVD-ROM and throw it into your drive. Some impatient moments later HOMM5 is installed and you're in the game's main menu! But suddenly an unexpected question explodes in your mind: Which faction should I play first? Without a moment's hesitation you select...
Vote! Feel free to post an explanation of why you've chosen to play that faction.

dungeon, i just like them better than all towns in all HOMM games.

Might as well guess what i used to write under my username - irollan, Sylvan
That was already decided when I first saw the new look of the town. It seemed to be perfect for me, as I always liked trees, especially, the big ones. Elven faction, on the other hand, wasn't my favorite, but as they are the ones to control the fates of this town, I do not mind.
Also, I was fascinated by the theme song. Instrumental music rocks, especially of such style, which has similarities with instrumental indian. I can't wait to hear the other ones (as I think that there may be more).
Furthermore, I am interested in the Avenger skill, and as it tends to have a superb ability when associated with luck (IMO), it attracts me even more. I remember how my infernal stacks were disrupted by that...
Yet, even though this is the faction that attracts me the most, others shall be played with too. But the verdict is Sylvan.
P.S. Pity they do not have the SUMMONING skill from H4... How I liked to see my enormous wolf stack grow each day and deal death to megadrags

Well, Haven has become my farvourite since HoMMIII, but I've already tried them. Then there's Academy or Sylvan, and I like them both, so it will be one of those two.

Haven for 100% I always preferred Tower/Academy, but now I really like graphics and racial ability of Haven.
And aftem them I will play Academy and Sylvan.

Well, I`ll play campaign first, obviously. 
But later on, in hotseat games with friends, I`ll play with Necro, switching occasionaly to Sylvan.

Dungeon, of course. I'm a dark elf freak. I'll play with necropolis after that, and then with academy. Sylvans will come next, followed by haven and, last but not least, inferno.

I would definently pick Sylvan. The Elves have always been my favourite faction. In fact, when I play HoMM 3, I always play as the Rampart at least once.

Inferno no doubt, fortress and inferno were my favourite ones in heroes 3. A one shooter type of town rocks at the final battles, nothing like the smell of blood from close distance go melee towns go!

I played Inferno quite often in the demo now. It seems to be very strong with that "gating" ability, and with the "summon pitlords" ability of the Archdevils. Also the "chainfiring" shots of the modern magogs (Succubus Mistress) is awesome, not to mention the meteorshower of the pitlords. I like the animation of the familiars, when they "steal" mana....just awesome..
Every unit i have seen animated in the game so far was very cool (Iron or Steel golems look so "real" when they hit and u see the closeup...), except one....the gargoyles....what the hell??? This is just poor.
So i will try Academy first i think. The collossus "kicks" a$$...
Never saw any dungeon unit in the demo so far, so canīt say a word about them...

Dungeon - the evil half of towns seems more enticing on the whole, and I have already played as inferno a good deal in the demo (glad to see they haven't been given quite as raw a deal as in III). I'm also interested in Necro, but they don't seem to be quite the powerhouse that they were before.

I think i will play necro first, but i must say that it has become diffcult to choose, i like inferno and haven too.

Well already played Haven and Inferno in the demo and I always enjoyed playing Tower very much in H3 so think I'm gonna go with Academy. Plus I haven't hardly seen any of the academy creatures in demo so im very interrested to check it out. Then I'm gonna play Necro.
I LOVE Succubus Queens! That chain shot is very cool and that one unit gives that faction some real power.
