Because I have felt his presence, and I do every time I go to church or pray.

And if i told you that i met a muslim that said he felt gods presence while praying? I guess youd call him a liar but meh.. Both religions are relatively speaking, younger then most pagan religions that dont exist (or hardly exist) Any more.

No, that's why evolution is impossible. Can't you see the truth behind this lie, this fairytale?
Okay. Let's think here. Who benefits from everyone knowing that evolution is true? No one, really. Who benefits if everyone becomes Catholic? The Pope.

But other people feel his/her/its presence too, and it's nothing like what you describe. And many people never feel his/her/its presence. I never have. What if you're imagining it?

I have to agree in the sense of the word. Humans are animals and in no way much different then other animals except in terms of intellegenc ,adaptaility and many other things i guess. But were still made of skin and blood and have instincts and urges like most animals.
Wasnt shakespeare widely considered to be the best author ever?

Ah but we can know whats right. Unfortunatly all the info we have is there is a mystery creator, probably sentient. I prefer to call God (neither he nor she) the Most High.

You can believe the bible but look at Chronicles and tell me how someone before christ knows the geaneology of all those people and most people cant tell you their great grand fathers name.

Aren't humans the least adaptable species on the plantet?  Instead of adapting to our environment, we adapt our environment to us.

I find humans are more alike to Virusses than animals.

The only difference is that humans use their brains to achieve the exact same thing that virusses instinctively achieve - destroying their host cell.

Most pessimist way to think. You cannot ignore all the creation and advances on science nor the good will behind some individuals as opposed to those who are unscrupulous. I have not missed that most will do nothing about their environment but that is also a matter of education.

Aside from wether it can be argued wether or not advancement in say, the medical department in cures and disease research, is a good thing or not (I could think of overpopulation and unnatural long age as arguments for the latter), you would think if we already knew all that, and if we know how important education is and can change all this, it would have already changed by now.

By the way, as individuals humans can at times be interesting, but as a collective whole, they are truly no different than virusses.

There's nothing wrong with living a longer productive life. And overpopulation can be fixed with better education and health.

Let's quote the bible, folks!

"He who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death." -Exodus 21:17

"If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, he survives a day or two, no vengeance shall be taken; for he is his property." -Exodus 21:20-21:21

"If men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she gives birth prematurely, yet there is no injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him, and he shall pay as the judges decide. But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise." -Exodus 21:22-21:25

"If the thief is caught while breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there will be no bloodguiltiness on his account. But if the sun has risen on him, there will be bloodguiltiness on his account. He shall surely make restitution; if he owns nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft." Exodus 22:2-22:3

That's up for debate, really, since the main reason to stimulate better health and longer age is men's inability to accept death as a part of life, but I'm not gonna argue on that

How is overpopulation to be fixed with better ed and health? I stopped believing solutions for current day problems can be so simple and harmless. Sacrifice is an inevitable part of balance, and any progress humans have made was aimed at preventing sacrifice.

See, this is why Wicca is a good thing!  There's a lot about reincarnation involved, so people would be less afraid to die if they knew they'd be back.

Humans are like no means like viruses. Viruses have no intention except to protect and reproduce themselves. And thats not really as much an intention as the only thing it can do , doesnt really think about wether its right or not.
Its no good to say that humans are evil to the planet etc, even if wed have done nothing at all and taken nothing from the planet the world would still eventually die from the sun burning into us or burning out or gloal warming or an ice age even without human intervention. Were honestly just having fun while the world lasts you could say.And who knows we may eventually find a way to fix things.

Actually, it 'thinks' instinctively. Probably it 'thinks' that reproduction and protection and 'fun' are "right" things. But why do you blame it? Aren't all the bolded things what we do anyway? So, we're a virus

Same thing for viruses; you see, we're not discussing whether our actions are significant or not (which is subjective). We're actually discussing what makes us different from viruses?

Quote:

The virus is also having fun; what makes you think we're the only ones having 'fun'? it is having fun in it's way of thinking.

'fix' things? Well, seriously, the virus is also 'fixing' things, at least that's what it thinks

ok, enough off-topic debate
