what do I like about homm5?  graphics, gameplay, 'extras' like the quick combat, skills/abilities/specialties, etc...  And of course, its addictiveness

I love the auto-combat, though I think it differs from the quick combat others are mentioning, if so I'll have to give that a try too.

I like the gridded battle system.  Not that I disliked hexes, but I like the grid too.

So far I've only played the campaign, so I've only had Isabel to view.  Might hero seems interesting in their abilities, and now the Ballista is important

Ultimate Abilities- I have almost always done everything with one or two heroes, now it's worth building them up for things other than wisdom.

I like the separation of adventure magic so all can get town portal, however, I kinda miss getting exp summon magic and chosing the castle you go to.
Sadly, I like the adventure hero graphics and most map icons like towns and portals ect in h3 better, the new heroes look too big and with a giant flashing circle under them, its like they remade the game for the vison impared.

Cool? Hard to spot

Nice skills and feats to get. Empathy, Gaiting, Imbue Balista to name a few.
