Multiplayer bugs

Well i'm sure most of you experienced the 'out of sync' bug, when one hero enters into a battle with another hero, and the other hero doesn't enter it.

Anyway from my experience, this mentioned bug appears _every_ _single_ _time_ that a turn timer runs down to zero.
For example, turn time is set to 2 minutes, I'm fighting with some big pack of creeps which takes more than 2 minutes, and when I'm finished, the game is out of sync.

Whereas in latest games that I played, setting turn timer on 10 minutes, I didn't experience this bug at all.

Anyway, I thought that I'll share my feeling about this bug with you, don't know if I'm entirely correct, but here goes.

Btw. I think it's a big misunderstanding that a turn timer goes on, when heroes are fighting tactical battles. What is the purpose of dynamic battles then?

You might just be right about this. I seem to remember in my game with Wiz we played with no time limit. (This is where Wiz jumps in and corrects me and my horrible memory. LOL) I'm going to try this today I think. If anyone wants a game you can find me in Ranked Room 5.

Never mind because I just tried playing one with no time limit at all and it still screwed up. Only idea I have left is playing a map with no under.

Perhaps try playing without multiplayer until the next patch?

Here is what that Frenchmen has to say about the Multiplayer part of H5...

Fabrice: First I’d like to detail our updates planning on Heroes 5. We’d like to release a monthly update, starting from the release. Each update will come with patch material : crunching leftover bugs, improving the balance, tweaking the AI and difficulty level, and also with new features or material.

The first patch should have been ready for the US release, two weeks ago. I’m sorry that we didnt reach this objective, this was due to the patch creation process which was not tested previously. Hopefully this will not delay further patches now that we handled it once. We’ll try to catch back on our planning and release each new patch in the second half of each month.

The first patch mostly introduced another difficulty setting, the easy mode, which should allow anyone a safe cruise through the campaign story.
The second one will propose new multiplayer maps, and should improve the multiplayer gameplay. We’ll introduce ten new multiplayer maps starting from this second patch.

The third one, due in the second part of july, will propose the map editor. We’ll hand it over to a few selected testers in about a week, in order to fine-tune it. The map editor is of course a critical tool for the game interest in the long run, and we felt it was better to work on it a bit longer after the release.
Combined with the map editor, or with a further patch will be added the capacity to link missions together as in the Heroes 5 campaigns.

Sorry for being negative but this part worries me a bit. It almost sounds like he is saying multiplayer will improve with the addition of 10 new maps. I sure hope it is more than that but that is what I first thought when I read it a few days ago on AoH. I'm trying to remain optimistic but even i'm getting beat down at this point.

Bob, we should give them the benefit of the stupidity doubt just for now. If the sentence had a which instead of an and, then I'd be worried too

Damn. And I thought that I captured the culprit.
But I still think that the counter clock running out of time is the reason for desync, but now it seems to me it's not the only reason.

And I was so eagar to play ToH.
Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait fot patch like everybody else

This is not necessarily a multi bug, but I have to post it anyway...I am playing thru sub treasures map in single player, I have a capitol in 1st town and town hall in second town...so I should have 5000 gold/day income. New day ticks over and my income goes up by 200 gold! Checked it thoroughly for a reason and there isnt one

Edit: next day I only got 150 gold

Edit: next day 140 gold, lol whats the point.

the low income bug I've had before playing singleplayer maps.  About the timer bug though, I've run out of time in my multi games several times, and it was not the cause of my disconnect with the opponent.  It just seems that there are many vague 'coding' bugs that are disrupting our multi games.  Hopefully the nival team will know what to look for.  Once again, I get the feeling that the ToH players will be the ones finding these bugs first, because they actually try to finish games...

The gold issue is to do with "week of the festival"...not sure if its a bug or no, just as plague week had negative effect in h3

Yeah the only online game I tried was with Bobby and we had no time limit.. same result, game became out of sync.

I think a patch is the only fix.. Im still enjoying the game though. Beat all the campaigns and been brushing up on my skills.. Can't wait until I can get a full game in with a human opponent.

bugged when reloading

Ive had bugs with Jrholdt and another guy.


Game runs fine, but when we reload, the game crashes the next turn or so after.
