No, only the abuse cheats beginning with @ were affected by those patches.  add_army works even in TotE.  I'm reasonably sure it's tied down by enable_cheats as well, but haven't checked yet.  Still, it's better to be on the safe side and type it in.

Must've read it wrong then, always used the @version the few times I used cheats. And no, you don't need the enable cheats command for them.

Edit: From the guide:

Lack of clairity made me take this as meaning the other codes had been disabled entirely, not just for multiplayer. And then there is the fact that the guide repeats that for every such code "(disabled in 1.2)" which seems rather redundant when the guide writer was (rightfully) opposed to using them in multiplayer.

I think it would be cool to add the ability to Hover. You know, equal to flying, except you can't hover over units or castle walls, or any similarly large objects. On the other hand, you could be unaffected by Moats, Mines, Quicksand, and every other attack (both mundane and magical) made from the ground, like the Stone Spikes Spell.

this would also be great on creatures like the Ghost, in combination with Flight (unaffected by Moats, and can fly over castle walls)

In addition, we can also think of an ability like "Obstackle Jump": for factions that lack flyers, but have units that can reach high speeds (I'm thinking of the Cavalier for Haven and the Imp for Inferno), we can make the jump over certain obstackles, allowing them to reach squares that normally would be blocked by certain kinds of obstackles (like Blade Barrier?)

they cant fly because they cant get over that they were summoned from the dead. also, they went on strike and wanted more "bling bling" than any other team on the necropolis, so they gave them these fashion costumes with heavy steel that they couldnt fly. poor wraiths.

1. wraiths have nothing to do with ghosts.
2. Not only they shouldn't add incorporeal ability to others but maybe they should nerf the one of the ghosts.
3. Yes, wraiths appear to be flying but they are actually walking.

If the wraith is supposed to be the guy with the fork (the havester thing), then isn't his/their job not to collect souls of already dead, so they can be judged to go to either hell or heaven?

I imagine the only difference of having this guy as a creature and not just there to collect souls for later ressurections are that he's a master of getting the souls no matter how hard they try to flee.

In short, I imagine, if they should have a power, it should be some kind of anti ressurection, anti animation, in general any kind that requires a willful soul (so if its elemental or something mind controlled [though the mind control can probably be resisted by inserting own soul to take control, in general maybe turning some of the enemies ressurected units against themselves], there should be no restrictions).

Also, those guys, afaik, are actually angels. So they should have stats of angels, but not be able to attack, because they're not angel of wars.

Hmm, thinking about it, I think they're probably better in their unrealistic way than as a stationary, non useable for anything than anti ressurection, creature.

Why did you just copy paste something you found online? pick an opinion according to the topic! wights, wraiths etc are not ghosts. They are just creatures. Especially in H5 they are resembling "death". Also, they don't fly !

yes but heroes are not the creators of everything! one of many interpretations of what wraiths and wights are is the one of "ghosts". most likely than not, they are not

1. in game descriptions are in game descriptions, not reality or mythology whatsoever.

2. Even by following the in game description we can see that the naming of the word "ghosts" is avoided.

Look it up online. 4/5 descriptions are not abou ghosts.

Floating seems like a good ability to me. though it shouldn't allow the wraiths to stand over an obstacle. True, Undead have 3 flyers already, one shouldn't demand more! Ghosts, Vamp lords and dragons are all great creatures to throw behind ones wall in a siege...

I think that the wraith was a nice variation to the Black Knight of H3: the knight looks a lot like the Haven's Cavalier, and though being one of my fav units in H3 i enjoyed the variation.

Still, a Wraith is sooo restricted there were fights that it was completely useless, or others where it served as a tank for the shooters, similarly to the zombies... this is sad for a level 6 creature, don't you agree?

Sure, the Undead have a lot of things to do, and are a powerful fanction to play. I wouldn't want to boost the wraiths, unless it's a nerf for another creature as well (like the ghosts/spectres for example...)

Finally, one last thing: i don't like the way Necromancy skill works in H5: you always end up with zounds of skel archers, and use them to kick @ss. I think that higher necromancy skill should allow you to raise different undead types (say, skellies -> zombies -> ghosts) and boost the percentage of raised creatures slower. 40% (at least, and only with expert Necromancy) of dead creatures is a ridiculous amount of skelly archers end game... Perhaps it would be great to allow a Necromancer to choose the type of creature he wishes to raise, tied with the HP of each one as normal. Or then, maybe you could raise a portion of the dead creatures as creatures of their respective level? that sounds great. But this is a thread about necromancy, not wraiths. sorry

The original unpatched game is horribly balanced and outdated. You should update it or better yet play TotE that adds alternative upgrades, new spells etc. Reason I bring this up is that necromancy system changed a lot later, you can raise any kind of undead from neutrals(say wraiths from titans, skeleton archers from hunters, vampires from succubi) but are limited in how many you can raise each week.
