Cleric Mod

i everyone.I made ClericMod with sfidanza and xManiaCCCx.But we don't have an aureola.I tried do this, but doesn't work unfortunelly.I wrote to FC, but he doesn't reply.I don't know why this can't work.I search help of everyone, who can do aureola.Thanks.

I think I gave that a shot some time ago. Try looking in Lights\ or in files that treats effects since I think the halo is made with 3D effects and lightning instead of being a part of the model.

Look in the creature files in  "_(BasicSkelAnim)".  The animation mode .xdb files each have an entry for "<Effect/>".  This controls stuff like the black mist on the Spectral Dragon or the glow on the Wraith.  I'm not sure if the halo effect that you are seeking is done in the same way, but that's where I'd start to look.

There's no point in looking for this Aureola! The Inquisitor looks good without this item.

Cleric looks great with halo.But to do halo in full version HOMM V is impossible, beacause game can't read files where is item nimbus.Full version have other files and lighting type.Nimbus in my opinion is impossible to make.But NOT NECESSARILY.Please think.Archlish and Lish have magic blunt.Maybe is the same object the halo.Maybe unfortunelly.I will wait for help from UBI or Nival or FC.

I'm looking for help.I found reason why nimbus is without cleric.I must add text to index.bin.This is file, where we have all files list.In index.bin from full version doesn't show Cleric_lambert-2.(Material).xdb, in idex.bin from beta yes(2 times).I must copy that to index.bin from full version, but I don't know why, beacause it can eazy crash the game.In this problem I must help from people.I'm waiting for u reply and PM guys.Thank you.

you've got to change the date of your mod file in order to set the creation date after the creation date of other heroes 5 files

hum... i was wrong!
i've got the same problem (cleric mod works fine in original game but not in HoF 2.1: inquisitors wear helmet without texture)
i've try to change the file's date but it doesn't work!


help us please please! we want our nice bald inqui' back!!!

I think maybe it's the same problem as I had with the Sapphire Dragon mod (without knowing it) - try to look in the data file for the patch 2.1, and see whether they updated the icons in that one - if that's the case, you'll have to either replace the icons in the patch data file, or make the computer understand, that it should use the alternate icons rather than the ones in the patch data file.

the problem is double: the inquisitor's icon is the old one AND the inquisitor's bald head texture is applied to an helmet. other stuffs (like coat color and big hammer) are correctly shown.
this is strange because the same file works perfectly with original game 1.41 but doesn't works well with HoF 2.1.

I've even try to copy the pak file only in "data" (not in "data1") and the clerics are still badly designed in HoF!!

those bald inqui are so nice looking I don't wanna see these stupid and ugly helmets any more!

we do need an archimage to find a solution!

I wasn't able to get the heroes mod replacers (the ones that change the heroes so they look like their portraits) with HoF until I tried installing the mods' folders loose in the data folder.  Not the one for HoF, but the original one.  Now they all work fine.  We don't plan to install the HoF patch unless we have no choice, so I don't know how this works with that.  But you could try installing the cleric mod's files loose rather than in a pak.

I have a solution for this. You should start the mapeditor and save some map. In folder "maps" please put clericmod or anyone. Then please rename file "clericmod.pak" to "clericmod.h5m". After this you will see a good texture of cleric. It's really work fine. If you have some problems with this, please write to me or reply on this topic. But I think you will not have any problems.

LOOK-OUT
Please delete the mod form data and data1 folder, which you will put in maps folder.

Edit: Yeah!!!! It works perfectly!!


I don't understand the logic of making the mod a h5m file (a map file) but it's working very good!

ahhhh now I can enjoy my pretty bald inqui again!!!

clericmod doesn't work anymore with TotE!!!!
i've try do modify the date of all .pak files but this only leads my game to a fatal crash to desktop!!

please someone can help me?
what do I have to do to make this mod work with TotE??

I can't play without my old beloved bald clerics from beta!!!!



EDIT: i'v found the solution, one must edit all xdb (xml) files in order to change date attribute

I updated the Cleric, Treant and DarkKnight mods hosted on AoH.

Actually, I only updated the file dates inside the mod, which should be enough. But I didn't check if more changes were necessary with ToE (you tell me if it doesn't work), and I didn't change the file extension to a better one (like .h5u or .h5m).
Anyway, re-download them from AoH, you should be fine.
