They're actually a pretty tactical unit too. They have awesome attack and horrible defense, even for an Inferno unit, so getting maximum leaping distance without counterattack is worth planning ahead for. They're probably the only tier 2 in the game worth casting vampirism on.

Vampirism on Furies could work great as well, but that's if they miraculously somehow survive that long to be effective.  (and if the enemy is not able to kill them quick)

Vampirism sucks on furies. They die in one hit. And if they survive by 10 or so the damage isn't enough to bring them back.
But would it work with red dragon's incinerate? Now that would be nice.

Dungeon has better things to do on it's turn, like pointing, clicking, and blowing up the enemy tier 7 stack in one hit. Buff spells are a waste of a turn.

vampirism was win on H4 hydra.
btw : vampirism on wolves would be ultra deadly. it triggers even if the stack is attacking automatically thanks to pack hunter.

My favorite armies so far is Fire Dragon and it's upgrade(Magma Dragon and Lava Dragon) in HoMM5 Hammers of fate and Tribes of the east, because their bodies are red, burning, Fire breathing, and immunne to fire

As for power, IŽd say theres nothing that excites me more than Kshatras when full loaded. They are simply scarry.
As for the unit I like the most, its the good old vampire lord. For that is how it has always been.

- footman-squire)/crusader/swordman-crusader -h5/4/3
- griffin-royal/imperial - h3/5 - no that ridiculous one from h4!
- prist/inquisitor h5
- angel/archangel - h3/4/5
- bear rider/black/withe bear rider h5
- treant h3
- minotuar - h3/4 - i hate h5 minotaur! it's ridiculous!

I have to agree about the Minotaur. In the old version of the games, the Minotaur was a very damaging creature, slow, expensive and majestic. Usually it was the best creature of it's level (tier).
And now, Minotaur Slave? Give me a break. This is actually a Heroes myth destroyed.

If had seen you leaping, I would have done the same.
I just love the Djinns. I don't really know why... I just do. I love 'em. Another that I like is the Inquisitor. Love the Helmet (Alc's gonna kill me for this lol) as for mythical creatures, I overall like the Phoenix the most. Majestic yet elegant like I've never seen before.

Arcane archers beat the **** out of anything
you can beat an army of skeletons with around 60 of them + a good hero
and sucubi mistress folows close by

favourite units-- if your a level 15+ klaus with 20 paladins, u r unstoppable! so ill go with archangels paladins and crosbowmen..

lol, slow? minotaur kings were very fast on H2 (and probably better than most level 5 units)
on H3 they had speed 8 which was very decent, since only level 7 units could have more than speed 13.
the best army, haven. awesome offensive and defensive potential. the magic is weak, but they have guys with big armours and big weapons
however, stronghold isn't bad at all in that field, but I feel they have less good defensive abilities.
