Okay, I finally figured out what I did wrong (I was in Program Files instead of Documents and Settings when I tried to edit the second file). Now, a question: is it supposed to give you some kind of feedback when you enter a cheat? I keep entering "@GiveHeroSkill("Raelag", 10)" and all it does is enter that in the console. Has it worked? I also tried it adding a ";" to the end, to the same effect.

No, it gives you feedback only when you make an error

hey, I'm sorry but none of this is working! nothing happens when I when I press [']. I've already edited and re edited the .cfg file.. what can I possibily have done wrong? by the way i haven't got any patch instaled

in "...\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V\Profiles\Vivian" I was going to add the console, but I found one already writen in the middle of the text... is it the same thing?it's like that:
//debug keys
bind show_console '`'
bind +right_mouse_button 'MOUSE_BUTTON1'
//END debug keys"
why the console isn't showing at the game?

Go to the directory where you installed Heroes 5, and then open up the profiles folder.
Open the autoexec.cfg file with Notepad and add the following line at the beginning:
setvar dev_console_password = schwinge-des-todes

We all know that there is a command that removes the shroud and reveals the map (surface and underground) - OpenCircleFog with the necessary parameters.
Just like to ask if there is one that gives back the shroud?
Usually I reveal the map so as to look for certain map locations like prisons (to get free heroes), refugee camps or astrologer towers. I don't intend to play revealed map throughout so I would want a command to "regenerate" the shroud, but there is no such thing as "CloseCircleFog".
Anyone who knows pls inform, thanks a lot.

Unfortunately I don't think there's a function for that.
However, with some cheats you can enable/disable the entire Fog of War on the map easily, and also Teleport your hero wherever you want. Of course, if you want to play and have fun you shouldn't use these cheats but they are very useful a lot of times when making tests and such (especially the Teleport one)
First you need to enable the console:
Go to the directory where you installed Heroes 5 TotE. Then enter the profiles folder, and open the autoexec_a2.cfg file with Notepad
Add the following line at the beginning of this file:
setvar dev_console_password = schwinge-des-todes
Now go to your My Documents directory (Documents and Settings\user name\My Documents), enter the My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East\profiles folder. Now enter the folder with your profile name in the game. Open input_a2.cfg with Notepad.
Add the following lines at the beginning of this file:
bind show_console '`'
bind fog_of_war 'CTRL' + 'SHIFT' + 'F'
bind adventure_teleport 'CTRL' + 'SHIFT' + 'T'
Now you activated the console! (you never have to do this again - unless you change your game profile)
The following actions must be made each time you want to cheat:
Launch the game. Open the map or save, and press the key right to the left of your 1 key (the ` or ~ key). Write enable_cheats and press 'Enter'. Now you can use cheats. (hide the console any time by pressing the ~ key again)
Try holding your CTRL and SHIFT keys while pressing F, and you should deactivate the Fog of War on the map. Pressing it again will enable it back.
As for teleporting your hero: select the hero you want to teleport, move the cursor on the place you want him/her to be teleported and then press the T key while holding the CTRL and SHIFT keys. Note that you can't teleport your hero someplace where (s)he can't, e.g. in an unwalkable tile or near an enemy creature or hero.

According to the Cheat Guide the internal name for the hero Tieru is Linaas. I have tried to use this and it doesn't work but it doesn't give an error either. So is the above internal name correct?

No, Linaas is Wyngaal. I can't even find the Tieru Hero unfortunately...

So with the mod I can use him in adventures...just can't use the cheat codes on hum because can't find the internal name for him

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any cheat nor script function to modify the Dark Energy... so I think it's impossible.

Not sure if any1 really check this forum anymore, but would like to know what I have done wrong.
I entered the cheat to open the console in the autoexec.cfg - And binded a key to open the console.
When i've done this, and I try to open the game. It just close the game. Like I can't enter the game.
Hope someone got a answer to this question, if you don't understand it fully please reply anyway and I will try to make it clearer.
