HC Masquerade Feedback!
First of all, I want to thank all of you who attended!!
With the mass confusion of time zones converting, I was afraid that no one would show up. But people came!! I especially want to thank the people who stayed up past midnight and got up before noon to attend this!!! (You know who you are )
Results
To protect members' privacies, I will not share the chatlog with the public. However, to those who attended and would like a log of the party, please contact me and I will send the file to you.
Here are the 11 attendees and their aliases (in alphabetical order ):
2XtremeToTake= IDunKnowMyName
Angelito = Ufretin
FriendOfGunner = Herr Beaker
Gom_Jabbar = kokojambon
Iris = ZmXnQpWo1029, TimeKeeperIris
Karashan = schwa runner
Kookastar = Pluckker
LegendMaker = lzbgvlbsdvnljsnd
MightyMage = hiddenyin
TnT_Addict = Pecu619
Vlaad = eldgriffen
Feedback
Now, I'm going to need a little feedback from the attendees (and suggestions from spectators, too).
I would like to keep this open ended, but I feel like I should ask some questions, too. Well, here are some basics.
1. Did you have a good time?
2. Was it hard to follow everything that everyone was saying?
3. Were there too many people in the room? How many is too many?
4. Was AIM easy to use?
5. Would you come again if a second party is planned?
6. Any other criticisms/comments/suggestions?
Thanks again!!

Thanks again Iris for all the organisation
Feedback
1. Did you have a good time?
yes
2. Was it hard to follow everything that everyone was saying?
not really.
3. Were there too many people in the room? How many is too many?
maybe because not everyone was talking much
4. Was AIM easy to use?
ok
5. Would you come again if a second party is planned?
yes
6. Any other criticisms/comments/suggestions?
suggestions
Start with a free chat for 10 min or so {plus before it starts}
Then split into seperate chat rooms for 5-10 min intervals, rotate people - this way everyone has to talk to everyone
Also each chat room has a different topic that has to be discussed while you are there - for at least part of the time.
End with a 10/20 min freechat with everyone.
Just an idea

Again, thank YOU for organizing it. Quote: 1. Did you have a good time?
Yes. Quote: 2. Was it hard to follow everything that everyone was saying?
Yes and no. Sometimes it was hard to see who replied to whom. LOL Quote: 3. Were there too many people in the room? How many is too many?
The more the merrier!Quote: 4. Was AIM easy to use?
Yes.
Quote: 5. Would you come again if a second party is planned?
If Kookie is coming, I'm coming too. Quote: 6. Any other criticisms/comments/suggestions?
I felt the party needed a common theme, e.g. everybody could have been "a member of HC" or "a creature from Heroes" (or something more imaginative LOL). Kookie's idea about a topic is a good one, too.

Thanks again Iris for all the organisation, well at least someone has to thank her...
Feedback
1. Did you have a good time?
Awesome time
2. Was it hard to follow everything that everyone was saying?
At some points the conversation got stuck so I just had to revive it time after time...
3. Were there too many people in the room? How many is too many?
It was fine, but if once we will reach 20 members then a splitting is required
4. Was AIM easy to use?
Well I had to wait for about 20 mins to get the invitation to the chatroom but other than that it was fine
5. Would you come again if a second party is planned?
Sure I'll be there, though only if it's on friday-saturday night
I think it went pretty well but I would like to see more members attend the next time,
watch your language please.

Legendary Feedback (^___^)
Quote: Here are the 11 attendees and their aliases (in alphabetical order ):
AND here's who guessed who. I think the game part at least we can give the outcome of. Well, I'll say who I managed to identify and who identified me anyways.
2XtremeToTake= IDunKnowMyName
Angelito = Ufretin
FriendOfGunner = Herr Beaker
Gom_Jabbar = kokojambon
Iris = ZmXnQpWo1029, TimeKeeperIris
Karashan = schwa runner
Kookastar = Pluckker
LegendMaker = lzbgvlbsdvnljsnd
MightyMage = hiddenyin
TnT_Addict = Pecu619
Vlaad = eldgriffen
In red are the ones I successfully identified.
In blue is the Legendary guy that NO ONE guessed who he was Moo hoo ha ha ha ha Feedback
1. Did you have a good time?
Yeah ! To me, the most fun aspect was the "guess who's who" part. I mainly focused on that the whole thing long.
2. Was it hard to follow everything that everyone was saying?
Not during most of the party. The unmasking session at the end was quite messy though. I guess everybody was too eager to get the results to keep track of what the others were saying during the last few minutes.
Understandable !
3. Were there too many people in the room? How many is too many?
Surprisingly, I didn't get at all this feeling. I really expected it to be a chaotic mess, based on the recent AIM multiconvo bad experience I had with only 3 other members involved. Guess what ? This 12 ppl convo worked MUCH better than the 4 ppl convo did the other night. So it's not as much a question of how many ppl involved as it is a question of who they are and do they have a common goal or purpose to be there. Since any and all of us was trying to figure out who any and all of the others was, everybody had at least some basic interest in what anybody else might say. Or is just that we were lucky enough to have a particularly polite and well-mannered bunch of ppl ?
4. Was AIM easy to use?
Of course the more I use it, the less painful its primitive interface gets. But it has still such a long way to go to get anywhere near as useful as MSN...
5. Would you come again if a second party is planned?
Most definitely.
6. Any other criticisms/comments/suggestions?
Finger must be pointed at 2X for his highly unfair AFK STRATEGY. It's simply not POSSIBLE to guess who someone is when they have a generic nickname and are absent for 90% of the event. Someone had to mention that. Being the Legendary "Critic" that I am... I seemed well-suited for the job.
Joke aside, my point is that a basic rule of "everybody present must participate" would come in handy.Quote: Thanks again!!
You know you're welcomed.

Feedback
1. Did you have a good time?
The short time I was there was pretty fun
2. Was it hard to follow everything that everyone was saying?
Like Someone above me pointed out, I was AFK most of the main part. I was there early, and didn't get back until the end.
3. Were there too many people in the room? How many is too many?
I think there could have easily been more.
4. Was AIM easy to use?
Of course - I use AIM all the time for everything and it is so simple and easy to use.
5. Would you come again if a second party is planned?
Definitly. Hopefully I won't go AFK again.
6. Any other criticisms/comments/suggestions?
I like the common theme thing...Such as a creature from Heroes, or something...Perhaps make it sports themed, heroes themed, country themed, etc...

yeah, ill get up in the middle of the night.

As already stated yesterday, u made an awesome job to get that stuff going Iris
Some stuff in addition:
1. I guess 80% of all participants wanted to act like William or Aculias. Never saw that much typos in a small chat, nor did i see more "I AM GOD" or "Hope u like " lines....hahaha
Would have been real fun if they both actualy would have been present aswell...
2. Next time, i wouldn´t reveal which HC members are present, coz that way, u make the guessing way too easy (especially for the native english speakers, who could identify a non native pretty easy i guess)
3. I think the "guessing through IM" is a good idea. Shouting out some suggestions in the lobby has nothing to do with guessing. (Only Iris guessed my identity through IM, but she wasn´t sure about it. Only 2 more tried though, and none of them was you LEGEND, to cut your bragging here a bit..))
4. A main topic (theme) for the next party would be a good idea and i think Vlaads idea of chosing names refering to either HC names or Heroes names is a good one also. (Ufretin da dwarven king! )
5. Next time we will make it pretty easy with the time zones. Everyone who wants to participate makes a post and tells what time it is right now at his place. That way, Iris can "calculate" the time for every member and post the time for everyone.
Looking forward to the next party. But i guess it will again take 1 hour to find a Screen Name which is not taken already..

I couldn't guess anyone for sure even with the list I also think the English of the non-English speakers here is as good if not better than the rest of us lol

How The Game Was Won !
Quote: Only Iris guessed my identity through IM, but she wasn´t sure about it. Only 2 more tried though, and none of them was you LEGEND, to cut your bragging here a bit..
Ok, I'll enlighten you, for once (hehehe) : she didn't guess you, I did. I IMed only TimeKeeperIris during the game. I thought (still think ?) it was the way to go. The only other IM i had was with Gommie because he IMed me. But I told Iris all my guesses during the game. Including you, my friend ! In fact, she wasn't sure about it because her only reason to assume Ufretin was you is because I told her I was 100% sure it was you !
"The best hero is Ufretin, because you need a lot of luck in this game". Rings any bell, Angel ? If this wasn't enough, you actually said "prolly" instead of "probably" at one point. Which is like the ultimate Angelito trademark !
Vlaad actually got uncautious and used his trademark "rrrrright." line. I guessed him instantly !
Tina was so easy to guess I don't think I need any proof, do I ?
I guessed Mage because this foo actually used the exact same font settings he usually have on AIM + he didn't bother to really change his way of talking.
I guessed Iris. No comment.
Gom was actually harder to guess (mainly because I don't know him too well). For kokojambon, I actually hesitated between him and Kookie. After I've been told "nope" about koko = Kookie, I was sure it was Gommie though.
Ask Iris for confirmation, if you still don't believe I guessed you ! She'll prolly confirm. Rrrright ?
ADDIT : Btw, Iris guessed me, but not in the chatroom. She guessed me the very second I IMed her, before I even went to the party. But only because apparently, my FRENCH version of AIM showed. And, as you might know by now : I'm the one and ONLY french in HC !
