Levelling Up Stats
Hey guys,
Not sure whether there's a mod about this or a tutorial on this, but my searching high and low yielded nothing. I was just wondering whether anywhere in the files there's a set of variables that relates the level-up stat changes (Attack, Defense, Spell Power and Knowledge) and what the chance of them occuring is?
For example, if you're a Warlock you're likely to get Attack or Spell Power, Wizard Knowledge, et cetera. I know in H3 at least when you got above a certain level the percentages change but that doesn't seem to happen here and I really don't like overly unbalanced heroes (a major pain is having so much knowledge with Nur that its wasted and not enough spellpower to make her effective).
Also if you can find where to edit it, please could you basically walk me through it, I have WinRAR and everything but don't want to destroy or change the originals as I've already scratched my Collector's Edition disc!
Cheers.

The only way to change probabilities of attack/defence/power/knowledge - change it in H5_game.exe file

Do you have any idea where in the file I'd need to edit it ? And would I just use notepad or something?

I'm not sure if it can be done without writing some sort of trainer or using artmoney or another memory patching software... All these problems are brought to life by "copy protection".

Hi Casey,
You can find all these level-ups chances in the H5 manual (p.178):
http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=19045
As for changing the values, that cannot be made in a simple mod. It would require editing the game exe file, as CrazyPill said, and that's assuming we knew where to edit.
What I can advise, however, is to adapt your strategy to these constraints: with Nur for example, scout the map for Planetariums (+1 Spellpower) or +Spellpower/+damage to spells artifacts . Enlightenment could help too. And her focus should be on Summoning and Light spells, where Spell Power is less critical anyway.
