trouble hosting/joining games

"sorry, there was an error connecting to that session. please try again" - I keep getting that error message when I try to join games using gamespy.

I can't find the IP if I'm using TCP/IP. When I host games, no one can connect to my LAN or Router IP.

When I rune gameupdate, it says I can't connect to the internet.

I'm using Heroes III Complete version 4.0

can anyone help me with this?
