Master of Ice freezes the target, so the marksmen's ATB will not increase for 0.3 turns. And their ATB value is reduced by 0-0.3 per strike, so after 3 strikes, their ATB value is reduced by 0 - 0.9.
On the other hand, Divine Guidance increase the ATB value by 0.33. Hence, even if it somehow is able to increase the ATB of the marksmen to 1, the marksmen cannot move until 0.3 turns later.

Quote: You don't do Elves on week one? And if you start without tavern (level 1), there is no way in getting Stone Ring on week one (level 9).
Thanks for pointing out. Missed it out, but will change it.

Let's see.. chance of getting warmachines is 2%, chance of getting icebolt is 50%, chance of getting destructive is x%. All in all, you may get this to work once per, say, 10 games. I wouldn't call that a reliable counter.

Quote: Is it that easy to gather so many Marksmen? Oh yeah it's possible if you don't build the higher tier buildings. Haven needs alot of gold and because of that, Ossir's level will be higher than Doug if both players are equally skilled. And is the army effective with only 4 tiers of creatures?(I'm assuming Haven will only reach Tier 4 to do a successful rush due the the issue of gold, correct me if you think and know otherwise).
yes you pointed out the major challenge for the haven rush: the money issue. there are a few tricks to make more money and support training:
1. get Ellaine week 1 or two. Get her first day and you have an extra-fast start. 20+ archers and 70+ peasants are great to have day 1. protect the main stack of peasants and archers using fodders. at the end of the week give the peasants to back to ellaine in the garrison and buy second week troops. that's archers/griffins/squires. also (and this is important) give Ellaine 2 levels-up, one for adv leadership and one for Estates. Ellaine becomes a gold mine that really helps you build your Jousting Arena/Capitol and training later on. give her peasants first day of the week and keep her garrisoned 7th day (she has recruitment). the exp points for Ellaine can be obtained through learning stone + chest. it's more than worth it.
Ellaine week 2 or 3 is also very good to have.
2. you don't ever need to build the angel building. unless the money is really abundant, in which case I would rather train priest to palladins.
3. you don't need to buy all heaven troops. marksmen/griffins and cavaliers are often enough to clear the map. use 2 stacks of cavaliers to quickly block ranged neutrals, battle dive the griffins, cast benediction/divine guidance and shoot with marksmen. 'lay on hands' comes in handy later on. Not buying other troops will help you much to build the capitol/castle in time. The squire is a must but only in the endfight, as are a bunch of inquisitors for dispelling.

yes dude I know but I am also a sylvan player and I would like to find a strat to counter Haven. providing real tested haven facts/strats can only help finding a good counter against them. I only wanted to point out that the haven rush is very achievable and not to be trifled with.
Besides you can't really have an sylvan insight by itself, only related to other factions and strategies.

Yes, but every conversation leads to Haven + Training and to the fact that it cannot be countered reliably.
So it would be nice to discuss about something else also
