Quote: Ok: If they are a peace loving race then why would they join armies and attack other people? Why do they want to take over the map? That does not seem so friendly. Necropolis may be overpowered, but come on. I looked through your monsters and if I am not mistaken two monsters can attack twice. I have seen marksmen, crusaders, and these are overpowered. You are upsetting the balance. I like this idea but it seems rather babyish at this stage. Who wants to take over the map with that kind of castle?
Remodel the idea slightly. Ok, a bit more than that. They have to be a bit more scary, if you know what I mean. The names must be refitted, Murfs sound rather pathetic. Peasants sound more dangerous lol. So think this over, don't give up because some people don't like it. Momentum will swing your way if you put plenty of effort into it.
However, there still won't be a balance. What is going to happen when you want to play as another town? Will you always have to be playing Murf in order to balance necro? Others argue that towns are overpowered (Archangels too powerful, Wyverns availible 2nd day, pit lords overpowered, treasury too powerful, conflux monsters overpowered, master gremlin rush (Fixed, thank god) and of course, necromancy. Any town can beat any other town, none of them are overpowered. It depends if you are a good player. Or if the game difficulty gives you trouble, resources etc.
Who would win, stronghold with plenty of resources or necro with barely anything? These things matter.
They could be a little weird and think that everyone else is against them...

I'd like to propose a native secondary ability (so like necromancy, other races can't get it) called 'Huggles' - during combat huggles would make a certain percentage of the troops just want to be friends and refuse to fight. After combat you receive that percentage as murfs - baby murfs from all the friendliness.
Basic Huggles - 10% of troops refuse to take part in combat, you receive 10% murfs after victory.
Advanced Huggles - 20% of troops refuse to take part in combat, you receive 20% murfs after victory.
Expert Huggles - 30% of troops refuse to take part in combat, you receive 30% murfs after victory.
You should also add 'Carebear' as an artifact that boosts Huggles percentage by 10%.
edit: I suppose Huggles could be renamed 'Wuv' ?!?!?!

Uh, dudes, I gave up on this a LONG time ago. Huggles does make me laugh though, but we shouldn't have something that only one race can have since that was the problem with necro to begin with. And wyvrens on the 2nd day? They SUCK. I honestly think they should be 5th level creatures, I mean come ON, they have 70 health! All the other level 6s have about 100 health, and their attack and defense is just pathetic. And believe me, archangels are NOTHING compared to necro's legions of skeletons (I would know, I played A New Beggining from SoD until about the tenth month and the necros wiped the floor with Gem). And in the campaigns I have planned, the merfs are either the ones being attacked or they're trying to find an artifact. And in those ones, the heroes are the king and queen, who are serious (unlike their subjects). If you think if the names are changed people will start liking it more, be my guest. I abandoned this project a long time ago when people said this was kitty and royal suck.

Oi oioi oioi...
I'm so sorry that such ambition and creativity was sent to Xeron with an Inferno spell. =\
Really, I think the space for helping you should not have been filled by those who do not wish to see costumisation of someone else's Heroes III.
I started reading this thread, hilarious and indeed, merry it was to read it all, especially the heroes' names, awesome! =D My compliments for that! Just, too bad that it looks like all bad critics seem to have had effect.
Remember that Heroes of Might and Magic 3½ is editable by every player. This means that you can choose not to implent other people's work. If you don't like this idea, not implenting it should solve the case. But this looks like those who don't like it don't allow it upon others.
Sorry if I'm forcing a moral value upon you all, but I think this went a little too far. Give some space for creativity when the possibility is there.
Sincerely,
Rhodan
