Casting bersek on ancient behemoths in a siege battle.Usually the cyclops kings are next to them and you can diminish the enemies chance of breaking your town gate,also you get rid of a shooter

A good (however simple)spell strategy is blinding the oponets last creature. This keeps him on the batlefield(unless he's got control of any war machines). It gives you time to resurect/reanimate your creatures and makes it hard for him to escape. A great way to win hard battles without losts.

Firewall is one of the most devasting of spells vs adventure map specially. The amount of creatures it can kill sometimes is simply unbelievable.

Thats one good strategy. The speed of the AA makes this absolutely realistic. If you have tactic to round your AA(sacrificing the other troops)in order to save them, it would double your chances.

Not very known fact: Earth and Magma Elementals are immune to Armageddon, Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning...

Armageddon with magma/energy/magic elementals + phoenixes + armageddon is such an awesome combo. If you can get armageddon with conflux, you've practically won.

Thats why I LOVE armor of the damned its quite easy to get the parts you need for it are very common

I play the Complete 4.0 version. When you look at the creature stats you see underneath their specials as well. Air and Storm elemental say "lightining and firestorm vulnerability" but no immunity. But it seems that it is immune to Meteor Shower. Anyone can verify that?

they are resistant, not immune to Meteor Shower. look into this thread.

A good combination of artifact/spell is Armor of the Damned and Mass Haste: it will give you a big speed bonus, meaning that, most probably, you'll be able to get and attck their creatures first, thus avoiding to face them blessed or to becursed before deliveing your attack. Also works with Tactics secondary skills.
Furthermore, Mass low level sppels usually makes a good combination. I like Mass Haste with Mass Bless to get super units.

Lol,the thread was posted on 2001 and the last post was on 2007.Pretty old by now means.Anyway,divinevengeance of ToE owns all spells.If your enemy kills a large amount of your creatures,simply use this spell,it owns everything.

This combo isn't very usefull but it is still the funniest one,
cast 'haste'on a very quick unit and if you let them walk it sees as if they become crazy..

On the other hand, I tought on another combo: Mighty Gorgon and Expert counterstrike.

try to wear armor of the dammed AND that artefact that does you can't cast spells... thats some NICE stuff.

In one game I noticed that my opponent who had castle put all his troops in the corner, to protect his marksmen and monks. Moreover he was full of it. (he had tactics of course) with Tyris.

Here is how his troops were, considering those who use 2 squares


1 ....7 4 6
1     3 5 2
         5 2

1. angels
2. champions
3. cursaders
4. monks
5. griffins
6. marksmen
7. pikes

Probably he put the champions (2) in order to be able to reach my shooters in one move.
I had also castle , (angels ..)

Surely he had the arties that give no distance malus if he wanted to take the risk to have a good meteor on his head reaching all troops except angels.

But the meteor would have destroyed some troops, not enough. So what I did is to rush on the griffins (5) with angels , finish them with champions, and then teleport my crusaders in the place of the dead griffins, before his monks and marksmen can move.

If I had enough griffins, it would have been better to put them there instead, (because of their unlimited retaliation) but I feared he could kill them all too, crusaders were stronger to stay alive until the end of the turn at least, or more.

He had plenty, and they did not shoot once from the game hehehe
I like it

I put it here because teleport is a spell more often used with fortress, usually, and forgotten when we have castle. But in this case, there was not to hesitate, i think ..
