Consis vanity thread! ^^
Strangely enough, which I thought I never would, I am now writing my first consis thread.
Imho consis is a righteous patriotic american, who writes alot of text, and is persistent with what he believs. A great dad, lived through alot, and always pulled through. All in all, a strong willed person on the side of good.
I want to express my impressiveness of his long text, and furthermore submit that his letters are numerous in number!

And I mean really typical. Seriously, when people meet me they say things like "all american guy". (not necessarily a good thing) I'm guessing they are referring to my average height, short brown hair, glasses, blue jeans, T-shirt, and sport coat, half-shaven, flabby average build, looking white guy who spends too much time eating fast food, drinking soda, and playing computer games. I'm 6'1" 206 lbs.
I've seen your pictures Iris and yes I'm one of those truly geeky nerds who thinks himself not worthy to be in the same room as a woman who looks like you. Don't trouble yourself with my looks too much. People say I'm as average as it gets. It doesn't take too much imagination to picture a person like me.
Svarog, Vlaad, and Lith-Maethor on the other hand . . . those guys really have no idea how handsome they are. Women in America fall for guys that look like them all the time. Most fellas look like me in a very general round about sort of way . . . but those Greek Macedonian Balkan fellas are considered something of an exotic fantasy by women over here. I've often wondered if I should change my looks to be more like those guys just to get more attention from the women here. And then . . . I got married and made a promise to myself that I would stop thinking like that.

Those foreign guys get a lot of attention from American women probably because they're tired of seeing the same old average white guy or the same old average black guy. If a dude could pass for a tan white guy "tall-dark-handsome" with short but styled brilliant black hair then he has it made. ESPECIALLY if they hear a british, german, french, Spain-ish, Italian, or Greek accent! And even if his hair was long, wavy, and shiny he'd still be popular.
I have a pretty serious mental complex about this. All while I was growing up I would overhear groups of girls say things about guys that looked very foreign. The they would say things like, "i wonder what his voice sounds like!" As if it was the icing on the cake or something. It made me believe I had no chance with women because I could never look like that.
I suppose the same is true for women whom society has made to feel that they should get a tan, blonde hair, fake boobs, perfect teeth, new nose, long legs, and skin-tight shirts. Notice I didn't say American women . . . the stigma about how women should look is pretty much worldwide. I was convinced of this when I saw the Chinese "Miss Plastic Surgery" contest. The only requirement was that each contestant had to prove they were, in fact, a woman. It really made my stomach feel sick. I said to myself, "What is the world coming to?" I kept watching and learned that each woman was expected to altar the shape of their eyes to be more round and less slanted . . . apparently this has value in Chinese culture . . . to not look asian. Then I'd flip the channel and see that India was doing the same thing by searching for wide-eyed BLUE-eyed light-skinned people.
I has occured to me that people want some kind of look that is especially rare . . . perhaps an African American with blonde hair and blue eyes, or an Asian without asian eyes, or an American guy who doesn't sound american, or an Indian person with who knows what.
Oh boy what a can of worms this thread has opened!

What are you going on about COnsis .
You think every person wants that.
FOr me it is usually local.
French women usually want french guys & same with any other country or state.
Many cant even understand what they are saying.
Every person has thier dream guy or girl.
It's specific & it's all over the world.
It's never the same either.
I disagree COnsis, you make it like your just an average person that no one looks forward to seeing.
At least you got a wife & kids.
I hate people who talk when they already got stuff that others do not.

I don't know... I think there's some truth to what Consis says. I've heard some accents that have made my knees buckle for sure...
There's something quite alluring about the idea of something different, men from other cultures are like a mystery we can't wait to unravel
There is also a definite difference in the attitudes of north American men vs Europeans. the way they treat women, their attitudes about sexuality etc. Don't get me wrong - I'm not generalizing to the extent that I would ever say "ALL" men in either category. There are pigs, romantics, cavemen and gentlemen in every culture - the real key is finding that one you connect with 
Plus for me, no matter how yummy I might find a European guy... any guy I couldn't sit down and watch a game of hockey with just wouldn't feel sexy to me.
We're all different
BTW Consis, your sensitivity and romantic nature are about as foreign in the North America as any Euro 'je ne said quoi' , you're not quite as generic as you think

I heard some also that made me just want to ask for a date .
Point is that people already know what thier dream girl is & looks like.
I can be some Canadian dark haired chick from out west or this Aussie Schoo teacher.
Maybe some regular chick from Missuri.
Or Cleopatra herself.
Point is they have a favorite & it goes for women also.
From good looks to *DETAILS* to accents.
hair color, eye color.
Weihgt, height,strong, skinny, medium.
When someone says they dont care what they look like is usually a lie.
They have thier fav looks & attitude & whats worth.
They just dont want to sound that stuck up.
REALITY CHECK when it comes to dreaming, were all guilty

I honestly don't have any preference.
I've never found any one characteristic to stand out that much on its own. There are a lot of different things that I find appealing - but its the combination of those things that I really find attractive.
I'm more attracted to the subtle things, like the way a person moves, the way they look at you when they're talking to you, the way they touch you... things like that. But it all depends on the person - what might leave me awestruck in one guy I might find completely boring in another.
On one hand, a lot of the men I find attractive have dark eyes, but I can think of a few sets of blue eyes that have reduced me to mush...
So honestly, for myself there's no one thing.
The absolute sexiest thing is confidence, the way a man carries himself is everything - because once that's caught your attention, you start noticing all the little things you'll end up falling for.

In INdia, they sell skin-lightening cream for women. (Not unlike the anti-cellulose cream in the US, and about as effective. ) Lighter skin is assossiated with higher castes.
In the US, tan (European-heritage) people are also associated with higher economics because they have the leisure time to travel to sunny places, sit around in the sun doing nothing, pay for tanning booths, etc., rather than sitting in an office or service counter all day all year. Personally, I'm waiting for the cancer risk of sun exposure to bring milky-white women back into vogue. 
Long dark hair (men or women) = gorgeous. Goatees only look good on the men, though.

For me, it's all about charisma. Looks do play a role, but mean nothing if a girl doesn't catch my interest as a person.
I am very curious of nature, and have a natural need to understand everything and everyone. People who stand out from the croud - personality wise - generally make me want to know what they are all about. If they're women, look good or just regular with some remarkable traits, and there's a spark, I quite easily fall in love.
The women I fall for are usually the independant, silent, rational types, with an open mind and who can stand their ground in any discussion about any topic. If they occasionally challenge my weaknesses, have sharp wit and a good sense of humour, especially if they have some weird quirks, chances are I'll fall bad.
The other type I fall for are women who are so much like me in terms of world view and ideas, they actually learn me stuff about myself. I've only experienced this three times, but it are the kind of relationships commonly described as soul mates, burn hotter than they should, and end up by me or the girl running away in suffocation. Am cautious towards this kind of relationships for the breakups are like losing a part of yourself.
As to looks, most of my exes are tall and have long dark curly hair, but it depends really. Eyes are very important, but the colour doesn't really matter, as long as they're the kind of eyes you get hopelessly lost in
