What?! Why didn't you buy 9 ?? Final Fantasy 9 is a great game and story, and can be played on your regular old playstation.
Its an awesome game, great story... you must play it!

I've always liked the Final Fantasy games. I wasn't a big fan of them mostly due to the fat that when I was younger my parents would only let me play Mario or Sonic games (or the educational crap) because they watched the news too much and figured all video games were pretty much evil and violent. Imagine their faces when Grand Theft Auto first came out .
I got into The FF games the only way I could, at a friend's house. He had an original Nintendo and played those games all the time. Then I wasn't re-introduced to the series until shortly after seven was realeased on the playstation. Back then, those were the best graphics around.
It was like OMG 3-D fights and WOW look at that! Then a few years later they realeased Final Fantasy Tactics Advance on the Game Boy Advance and I felt compelled to go out a buy it. It was fairly simplistic compaired to other FF games but addicting all the same. That game was what made me fall in love with the world of Ivalice and when I found out that they were using the same world from that game for FF 12 I rushed to the nearest store and reserved my copy.
Ahhhhhhhhh, and what a game it is. One of my friends is a big WOW nut and was playing it non-stop for awhile. Now its his turn to deal with me while I play this game non-stop for awhile (when I'm not at work that is ).

Final fantasy Final Fantasy Tactics.
Except as we all know who has played FF is that every series is So far apart that people have no memory about the history of any previous FF.
Therefore FF tactics story is not counted for at any bit to FF 12.
not even 1%.
We still have a Marquis though

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
The one for the Game Boy Advance. Not the Playstation version. Tactics Advance features Montblanc and Nono the Moogles as well as the judges. Many of the area names are the same as well. Plus all of the same races are present. Humans, Moogles, Viera, Bangaa, and Noumu. The only different race is the addition of the Seeq, those pig looking creatures.
I never played the FF Tactics game on the Playstation so I have no idea what it's all about.

I think Tactics advance is a port of the PS1 game, I think there identical. I could be way off though.
what do you guys do to kill flyers? I usually do a summon, cause I can't hit air with anything but magic.

Mmmm. FFXII. Such an amazing story line.
But it's too bad Reks had to...well...I won't spoil anything.
See, what I thought of first when I heard the release date coming up, was that Hitoshi Sakimoto, one of my idols in the conductor world, was writing the music for FFXII! (He also did Tactics, for those of you who adored the music there as well).
So Hitoshi and Maru did most of the music fo FFXII and his arrangments of Chocobo-Chocobo and the main prelude...are amazing.
You could say the main reason I bought the game was due to the fact that I had already drooled over the soundtrack, which I had bought two months before.
I recommend it to any Tactics fan.

I was just glad to see they hadn't killed off all the main characters. Ashe, Reks, and Prince whateverhisnameis was more then enough.
***************DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU JUST GOT THE GAME OR ARE EXTREMELY SLOW***************
They must have felt bad though to allow Ashe to live once more although she's way too much of a pansy for my liking. I know as a female character she's supposed to be kinda weak and fragile sounding but even Penelo has more balls then Princess Short Shorts.

Comparing prices.
They got them for sale everywhere, why waste your time comparing prices.
Just go & buy it.

Violence...over Playstation???
Topping off the wonderful stories already told by our local news team were tales that made me wonder, "What the hell is wrong with people?"
At the release of the Playstation 3, several people were either trampled, robbed, or shot and over this piece of gaming equipment. I admit wholeheartedly that I do indeed want one of these machines what with it's impressive graphics, high resolution, big hard drive, backwards compatibility, and not to mention included Blu-Ray player. Yes, I want one but why, WHY would someone go to such lengths? Do these people not realize that Sony is in fact making more then what was released? I knew I was never going to get one on the release date nor did I want to wait in any line for days like many people did (that and the fact that I can't see putting out $600 right now) so I plan on waiting. It's called patience and news like this makes me sick. What the Hell is wrong with people?

Ah Yes . . .
I have been watching the news and reading the reports as well. Even in my own city, every Target/Best Buy/Fred Meyer/etc was camped out the night before by mostly young men from 16-24 yrs of age. It is interesting because when I saw it I realized that this was the very same group of people who vote the least in every single election nation-wide. I recall that period of my life and I must admit that politics was never even on my mind in even the slightest way when I was that age. I don't understand why these people would go to such lengths for a playstation-3. I have my theories but no solid research to back them up.

I've been busy with stuff such as work (and being delicious ) so I havn't played this game in a while. Just wondering though where those that do own it are currently at in the game. Anyone actually finish it yet? If you have then I regret to inform you that you have no life. Please leave here now before other people find out.
edit: Just bumping this back since another onr of our members has fallen prey to this awesome game.

So... If Raithwall passed the Midlight Shard to the House of Nabradia, and the Dusk Shard to the House of Dalmasca... That means... Rasler and Ashe are related?
Good thing Raithwall was 1000 years ago.
