Venom spawns obviously.........

I use wampires because of wampiric touch and quite fine magic resistance.
Spawns with fordetfulness are useless :-)

Well, I have to choose the Spawn, only because I build to get vamps with GM necromacy ASAP, and they are the only non-hero shooter that Infernopolis has, period.

Both are very good (and well above average) creatures. They're so different that any other answer would be inappropriate. They are used differently. And of course, venom spawns on a turret make Titans cry.

Suppose your opponent takes Hydras, Minotaurs because he expects you to go vampires. Would you resist the temptation to go venom spawns ?

How about Nomads, Ogre Lords (yes !! do you fight vampires with cyclops ?), behemoths ? Would you not take venom spawns ?

Vamps, As I prefer the use of flyers in the necro army. Makes the great faction for seiges.

Identical with! But the Spawn is the best start and Necromancer develop to GM Necromacy soon. Vampire may also be too low for example Castles defence, Spider Arrow, melee and First Strike is not recommended etc. The same issue Spawn need to Teleport etc. Therefore Necropolis have got a Chaos and Order. Not easy as what want.

Really hard question. I usually choose spawns, but sometimes, for a change, I choose vampires. They're both equally good, I'd say.

Mass vamps. Numbers + Life Drain overwhelm most opponents, and they don't slow your army down.

Spells affecting Venom spawn, but not Vampire(or not the same way)

Life spells:

Song of peace

Order spells:

Displacement(if vampire is displaced,he can move further anyway, but when venom spawn is displaced in a siege,it cant strike(no enemy visible))
Forgetfullness
Blind
Berserk
Hypnotize

Death spells:

Sorrow
Mass sorrow
Fatigue
Age

Chaos spells:

Confusion
Cloud of confusion

Nature spells:

Wasp swarm
Quicksand(if no shots left, its movement on the battlefield is affected)

So I suppose the ONLY use I have for venom spawns is to protect my castle against invaders, while my necro heroes raise the main force!
