well it was, i was just about to post something when you posted,
anyway, have we thought about the design of the Settlement town?
no? hmm, must do that, also we need to gather all the info soon into one large master post, (with the Orge town and Tropical town) in one big email, then we can get some good results (hopefully )

ok then, i personally think that we need to go a little back in time a bit, if we have technologie it will ruine the game,
example:
on left: a tank------------------on right: an archer
if they attacked each other who would win? (plz take not that the tank those hace a crew and loads of amo, amo also allys for archer)

it is a bit of an imbalance!
imagine it, your armed with a bow and arrow and a large tank roles up and fires its cannon at you, who do you think would win?

tank wins. Look: tank is shooter, and all shooters are acts as archer.
I think a tank have this abilityes: Shooter, No Ranged Penelaty, Meele Penelaty, Scatter Shoot.

but it is an imbalance, not only in gameplay, but graphically and in essence!!!!.
Knightdougal, i want you, before you get onto this forum again, to go to bazrah, stand infront of one of the huge tanks there, and fire a little arrow at it, get it to point its cannon at a building and see the damage that it can do.

wat! if you can have a tank attack the walls of a castle then why on Ashan do you need a Catapult?
bixies right completely, i would not advise to go to Bazra, but follow the rest of his advice, this is looking like the Forge from H3 allover again

*lol* Going to Bazra is probably a bit over the top - but *please* try to understand, Dougal, that you are the only one who think it's a good idea to drag modern tanks and the like into the game so perhaps it's time to let the idea rest, and move on to something new - and especially to stop dragging this idea into each and every other topic that someone brings up on the board!

i tried to break it to him gently!
but seriously, Knightdougal, the idea of an orc faction worshiping a metal dragon is a good one, but not about tanks and all the other stuff. try and get away from Warhammer 40K: dawn of war and look at other ideas.

ok i bit harsh, still time to let go Dougal, the mass wants the Settlement to end, and even if nival like it, they woudnt make it because what happened to the Forge in H3 would happen all over again,

the premise was good, however, think of different ideas for the settlement, try...i don't know, orcs who decided that they wanted to conquer the world but were chased into a huge...mushroom forest. there, they magically cultivated sentient fungus or something and have grown it and plan to take over the world!!!!!!. or get extremely high on the magic mushrooms
