Riddle
Kooka flipped the tent flap open and surveyed the scene.
On the floor, in the centre of the tent, a man lay dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
In the corner of the tent was a small cot.
A package of cigarettes and an empty whiskey bottle lay on the bedside table next to the kerosene lamp.
The only other items Kooka found at the scene were 6 small circular wooden disks under the cot, the man's personal effects, and a variety of scrapbooks and news clippings.
She found the last items strange as the suicide victim was completely illiterate.
What was the reason for the suicide?

The guy who died, was it his tent?
You already said the suicide wasn't because of his lover, but was there a family member or someone else he cared about involved?
Did the tent belong to that person?
Did the scrapbook or other items belong to that person?
Are the wooden disks cut from the bar of a trapeze?
Are the disks cut from another circus prop?
Had they been glued or otherwise attached together to appear to be a single piece?
Was that the "deception" involved?
Did someone get hurt or killed as a result of this?
