Hi.
Its been a while, so how is everyone doing?
I'll give everyone a rundown on how I've been since the last time you've all seen me (Its been quite a few months now.)
I've been spending most of my time on high school football (American)
I play right guard on the offensive line. It was quite an eventful season.
We lost our opening game of the season, but then went on a 7 game winning streak before losing to our main rival. I played in one game, the entire varsity season. After the loss to our rival, we won against one of the biggest teams in the state. We advanced in the first round in the playoffs, but in the second round..
well It didn't go to good. We had the clearly superior team. We were stronger, faster, bigger, and better than them. However, you can't play a team and their refs. The referees robbed us of a victory, our season, and a possible state championship. They robbed the seniors of their final game ever. 9/10ths of the seniors on our team will never suit up for a football game again. It was really an emotional loss. After the loss, we all took a knee and basically cried as a group. The seniors, cheerleaders, and coaches were crying. Grown men and young men, guys I look up to, just crying. It was unreal, I still can't fathom its over. Some of you may not understand, but for most of us football is our life. Some people have been playing since they were 7 years old, and then in one instant it all comes to an end.
We had been practicing and playing almost all year. From spring training in April and May, to the summer practices, two-a-days, and then the season..And its unreal that one night, we would be robbed of all of that.
Us Juniors and Sophomores did nothing but look on. We still have another whole season left, but for them it was their last. I think in that group, the Juniors and Sophomores silently all took a silent vow not to let next years season end like this. No one said anything, but the feeling was the same. Next year we will practice just a little harder, play a little harder, and get better.
The JV season was alot less eventful. Our first game was canceled due to heavy weather. I started in the 2st game and did fairly well, with an 79% blocking average. The 3rd game I played all of the 2nd half, our 4rd game was canceled due to weather again. In the 5th game I didn't play at all because of a knee injury I got during practice.
Our varsity team finished at 9-3, and our JV team finished at 3-0.
Anyways, outside of that I have been doing fairly well. I don't plan on hanging around here, just wanted to check in and see how everyones doing.

Seems like a long time the last time I saw you.
Good to hear you have been having fun iwth yourself, well it certainly seems like it

Hey 2X whats up.
That's some big news. I haven't played American football but I know what it feels like, they say the higher you climb the harder you fall, especially when you've trained so hard.

Quitting has never once crossed my mind. I'm going to take the 6 months of off season to weight train and get in shape, to be better for next season.

Also . . .
I would also suggest taking on some writing classes to prepare you for college. Every professor I've ever met wishes all their students to turn in double-spaced typed papers. I STRONGLY suggest taking the writing class even if you only make a solid "C" grade for the course.
