Quote: Seriously, *I* think the grail is gone forever; I thought that was why the 'build grail building' victory condition *always* has 'allow normal victory' attached.
Fantusta, since you've claimed that the grail remains, could you verify it in practice? (i.e. set up a test map and check ...)
DragonSister
Its true, the grail disappears if u try to re hire the hero that had it when u retreated/surrenderd.

What is the best possible creature you can get to represent your score, and how much points you need for it?

no idea how the calculation works.
My best score was around 470(conservative) when myself, angelito and prof chomski played 3 allies vs 5 computer opponenets on 200% difficulty and i was lucky enough to find the rail and expand my empire very fast.

To the actual question
Does anyone know the answer to the first guys question? He asked why multilayer team scores where lower than single player scores.
The given formula works for single player games, but it sure doesn't for multilayer team games.
For example, I have an impossible single player 11 town all enemies defeated game without the grail finished in 118 days. Final score 434, exactly as expected.
As a team my wife and I have on the same map as allies an 11 town all enemies defeated with the grail in 83 days, in every way better than the other game. Final score, 414. I cannot in any way figure out how the computer got that score. According to the calculator it should be 490, almost the highest score possible.
If it only counted my score (since I finished the game) It would be 9 towns with no grail (She went grail hunting and focused on the economy while I pulverized) and that works out too 438, if it only counts her score its 2 towns with the grail and all defeated giving her 474. Both scores are much higher than the actual 414 we got, so it can't be averaging it.
The closest I can get is if I take off the beat all opponents bonus for both of us (perhaps the computer is considering the alliance as not finishing everyone off?), then my score is 388 and hers is 424, and it averedges to 406, which is still lower than the 414 the computer actually gave us.
And Archangel appears lower than 420, I have a 398 Archangel on my list. No idea when it starts though.
