It is nice to throw the chain lightning before charging, but except for this I am not that impressed by these white bearded giants.

Okay i dont want to talk about how powerful they are and all that. But why!! WHY!! do they cast lightning ? because as i see it, they have a burning hand? I cannot get it?
And i had 45 and they kicked ass, i think that with stats and all that.. they rock but else they suck

Seeing a "giant" in the dwarf faction is a bit odd and having 9-13 damage is wierder.They aren't level 6 creatures for nothing
they have the storm strike ability that deals damage equal to that of the attack so if the thane does 10 damage the storm strike does 10 damage and the creature attacked suffers a-20 hit poin loss.if there is another unit stationed right close to it suffers the damage of the storm bolt,and if there's a unit standing next to that it also suffers the storm bolt damage,although I'm not sure if the damage diminishes from one unit to another like chain lighning did.
Warlords have 120 hit points.Only Ancient treant and Rakshasha have higher hit points.Pit lords also have 120 hp.
They are the only level 6 unit that can teleport.Not many creatures can teleport(I think Vampire lord and Archdevil and Devil can along with Tane and Warlord).
And they have descent speed.
Warlord has Storm Bold ability that also can hit adjacent enemies not just one like the titans.Manipulating lightning means they are immune to lightning based spells.
They attack with their left hand,their right serving as the one from which they cast storm bolt.
I can't explain how they can control fire when they master lightning.

Warlords a really great vs. AI but as allready said the dwelling cost is outrageous! Against human players you usually won't be able to make use of the chain lightning thingy because he wont be so stupid to place his units next to each other and if he does he deserves it... But as Doomforge said before they are great at the beginning of the battle with rune of berserking/battlerage if you get lucky with enemy formation.
Anyway they are among my favorite units just because they look so cool^^

they are a good unit, but yes you will have to take care with them. It's easier to kill imps and then the the lightening kills eveything around.

Ummn no offense but i think warlords have a rip- off dwelling and are a rip off. You like a tier 6s stats to be 15-25?

There is something I don't understand. The Warlord has a flame in his hand, but has also the storm bolt ability and can cast chain lightning. The alternative upgrade to the Thane, the Thunder Thane, on the other hand has some kind of blue lightning in his hand, but his abilities are Flame Wave and Flamestrike.
The Warlord with fire= thunder attacks
The Thunder Thane= fire attacks

No, I did notice the same thing.
The same goes for Nightmare and Hellmare:
Nightmare is all a-flame and has Fear Aura.
Hellmare looks freekish and scary and has Searing Aura.
