On what difficulty do you play?
I mostly play on Expert in all of my Heroes games (hard in Heroes V). I somethimes try Champion, but on difficult maps, it can be too frustrating.

I usually play on 80% because it is not fair when 7 opponents are all out to get you.

160% (sometimes 130). 100% is boring as computers tactic is even worse than usual.
On the other side, luck have often big influence in 200% beginings and that is why I prefer 160% instead.

mostly 200%, but if the opponent persist i could play on 130%. Its more interesting when its tought in the begining

I play Normal level on online sometimes if there is computer player more than 1 then harder. Also i started campaings whit normal level but single scenarios i play Hard or Heroic.
Ai does not have any good tactics in any level they just make those full scale attack until theyr armies are gone or all resources. Ofcurse there are difference when you choose higher level on your army size and a.i has have more troops.
In those very hard difficulties i have found Sylvan very good town cause it really can defend it's own castle whit help of Treants.
I remember in some older Heroes the CPU intelligence was maximum at Hard difficult but the starting resourses and wandering creatures populations are diffrent in higher levels than hard. Is that thing same in heroes 5?

SP: always the hardest. It makes the game much more interesting if you start with no ressources at all. You can forget about level 7 creatures in week one, sometimes even in week 2.
MP: I don't play MP.

200 % (Impossible?) is the way to go, otherwise the AI is just too easy to defeat.

They are not all against you. They also fight each other. 80% gives the player an extreme advantage.
I usually play on 130%, but will be switching to 160% the next time I play, considering 130% usually is rather easy.
EDIT: For those of you who talk about heroic and sylvan etc.. This forum is mainly for HOMM3.

There is no use to play above 130 %.
The computer at the 130 % difficulty, horse difficulty, plays his best, below horse he plays worse, and above horse he plays same as horse.
So the difference to play above horse is basicly to start with less resources.
So don't play smart-asses you people here if you say "i am cool, i play at 200 %" when it's the same with 130 %.

This is not entirely true. 130% and 200% makes no difference if u play multiplayer without computer players. But if u have computer players, the difference is quite "essential". On 200%, the computer will buy more heroes, will dig for grail much earlier and builds more often in town.

It varies greatly...
Under normal circumstances...130%
Under favourable circumstances...160% (and I never use Necropolis or Inferno on this difficulty)
When I know the map too well and I know where everything is...200% (less than half a percent of the time)
When I need to win after a short losing streak...100%
When I need to win badly after a long losing streak and/or if the map itself is really really hard...80%
On campaigns with selectable difficulty level...80%
It's really diverse.

In Heroes 3
80% = Never played at this level. Atleast singles.
100% = Played this at the beginning but handicaped game againts CPU? No thanks.
130% = My favorite diff. All players are equal, no handicaps, easy to win, for the fun of it.
160% = Good difficuly. Traiding Wyverns on day 1 to 9 Basilisk and other things comes in mind. If it wouldn't be the fun factor this would be my level.
200% = Impossible? Nah! I just don't like it. Barbs are my favorite in this level but Inferno is not bad either whit farming  I rather play 160% whitout save/load than this level.

Ok, it is written in Heroes 3 game that 130 % is the same for computer as above levels, so if it's not, was it noticed by the common practise? Is it in every Heroes 3 game?

I used to play on 130%, but I eventually moved on to 160%. The resource handicap in 160% wasn't as debilitating in HOMM3 as it was in HOMM2 (from what I remember). About 2 months ago, I felt the urge to try my hand at 200% difficulty. I don't usually care about my score, but even I get tempted to push for bragging rights.
I've tried several dozen random maps on 200%, and not too many of them worked for me. Some beginnings were simply disastrous, while sometimes the trouble occurred in the mid-game. I'd normally conquer 1/3 of the map and get tossed into a tiring war of attrition with the remaining powerhouse(s). Unfortunately, I tend to ditch games when they cease to go anywhere. I only have one 200% win to my name, but I might score a second one if my latest game goes well.

160% is perfect. 200% might be devestating, it depends on how lucky you are...

When I play singles it's 130%, mostly. When multiplayer, I usually play hot seat, so I let them decide the dif. level. (the ones I'm playing with)
